High quality bakery and coffee shop off the beaten path. The sourdough pancakes were outstanding! The mocha coffee tasty, and the service top notch. Good quality and quantity!

Yes the line is already forming prior to 7 AM. Yes the line moves quickly. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating can probably accomodate 25 people. You place your order at the counter (right next to the bakery). Be sure and check out...the bakery. Delicious and reasonably priced. Service is quick and friendly. Food is served piping hot. Their breakfast sandwich is excellent. Restaurant is very clean. This is a very efficient restaurant and runs like a well ordered machine. We ate there 4 mornings in a row. We actually number 2 & 3 in line twice. Highly recommend.More
Spent three mornings in town so had an opportunity for experience the Bakery twice…Saturday had a line out the door, but the line moved and seating worked fine. With my daughter, we split the Migas, We Got the Beat dish and a sour dough pancake....The Migas was basically breakfast nachos and full of southwest flavor! The Beat was a bit more on the healthier side equally flavorful…And course known for their pancake, the sourdough pancake was delicious! Monday I was solo and had to get the Jack’s Badge so I could get one of each on the pancakes! Given a choice now, it would be a tossup whether going with the sourdough or Oatmeal cake…both were great in their own rights! All in all, such amazing food to find in this quaint little area…Hopefully be back one day!More
Get there early, because the secret is out. There’s no better breakfast around. If there’s a long line, it’s worth the wait. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the food is B.O.M.B. If you’re in Stanley, don’t miss it.
You could pick blindly off the menu and you will get a meal you love. On multiple occasions I have been amazed at the flavors the chef is able to achieve with the most unique ingredients and combinations. The desert should not be missed at...any cost, always delicious and a great end to the meal. Highly recommend this restaurantMore
We always try to eat breakfast at the Bakery at least once every time we visit Stanley, ID. We know it is busy early AM as people often go there before heading out on river trips (Middle Fork of the Salmon, etc) or other activities....We got there at 7:05 (open at 7am) and line already out the door. OK, not a big deal. Took over 30 minutes for about 15 - 20 people to place their order. Outside window for coffee and bakery goods was seemingly even slower and many people gave up and left to go to the Mountain View Restaurant which does tend to have quicker service. We finally placed our order and got our food just before 8am. Not acceptable. Perhaps they are suffering from staff issues as are many other places these days. Food was very good as was the coffee and the inside is small but very nice. Recommend this place but they need to work on speeding up their taking of orders and cooking of food.More
Loved this restaurant for breakfast. Indoor and outdoor seating with fast service after ordering. Staff was great all the way around.
We tried every restaurant in Stanley during our most recent trip. SBC was the best! Friendly service and fantastic food! We ordered a variety of things and they were all great! I personally loved the biscuits and gravy (and I am from the South so...I know biscuits and gravy). We will definitely be back.More
You are never disappointed with a stop at Stanley Baking Company! The food and service is excellent. There is almost always a line but staff is so effecient it moves quickly and it is worth the wait! We make a point to have breakfast here...every time we visit Stanley and always take baked goods to go as well! Highly recommend!!More
Don’t let the line to order, the relatively limited seating or the rustic vibe leads you down a rabbit hole. The menu is full of delicious generous choices and none will disappoint.
My husband and I went to the Bakery for both breakfast and lunch with our two boys, aged 8 and 10. You place your order first and then get a number and they bring it to your table. The team at the bakery is very...friendly and helpful and made great suggestions when asked. Breakfast is definitely popular. We went around 8am and waited about 20 minutes to place our order but it was totally worth it. Everything we ordered was good but the French toast special was next level. They have some kids menu options, too, even though it’s not listed. Just ask and they have the kid friendly options that my picky 8 year old was very happy with. If it’s a nice day, they have a fantastic outdoor dining space. Don’t leave Stanley without a visit to the Bakery!More
We stopped here on our way out of town and it was delicious. The oatmeal pancakes were something new, and so delicious. The coffee was tasty and really pretty too!
Ketchum locals all recommended we drive to Stanley to experience this restaurant and to view the Sawtooths up close. 25 degrees at 9 a.m. on a Saturday, and a line out the door and for the take-out/coffee window. Where did all these people come from...in late October? After about 20 minutes we had ordered our food at the cashier and were on the hunt for seats. Our breakfast arrived just as we secured 2 seats at the counter in front of the kitchen and espresso station. We each ordered the 1 pancake breakfast that came with eggs and meat--1 with the oatmeal pancake and 1 with the sourdough pancake. The pancakes were thinnish (just the way we like them), not doughy at all, and both kinds were delicious. My over-medium egg was perfectly cooked, and the bacon and sausage helpings were generous. We helped ourselves to coffee refills at the coffee station, and we were totally set for our 8-mile hike out of Redfish Lake Lodge all the way through dinner. This place does a tremendous business and is well worth the beautiful drive if you have time.More
Just across the street from our motel, really good breakfast food and pastries. Nice people too. What more can I say?
You can order coffees, drinks, and many bakery items from the front window if you're short on time. Otherwise, the full menu is available inside. When we went, the wait to go inside and order from the full menu was at least a half-hour so...we ordered from the smaller menu at the window. We had a cup of coffee, a smoked swiss & chicken pressed sandwich, a ham & cheese croissant, and a chocolate/hazelnut pastry, and all were delicious. And the people working there are so friendly! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely go back, because the full menu looked incredible. :)More
