The food was excellent and the service was perfection. My husband and I split the meatloaf sandwich which was a big slice of heaven and then also shared the Keylime pie which was so rich and creamy. They make everything on premises, and even have...a pastry chef.More

The lobster rolls are amazing; they surpass the ones we’ve had in Maine. They are on the appetizer menu but are easily a full meal.

Was brought here for a dinner last trip to Sandpoint and had a great experience. Food and wine were excellent, only surpassed by the service. Was in town for a ski trip up at Schweitzer and am so happy our local friends recommended Baxter's. We...will definitely be back! Highly recommended.More

Already starting to get busy at 5 pm on a weekday so we had high expectations. Hubby and I both in a mood for salads and the salmon Caesar and steak salad were perfectly executed.

My family goes to Idaho every once in a while, and we like to eat locally each time. On this special occasion, we decided to go to Baxters. The atmosphere was homey, and I felt I fit right in with everyone else. For my meal,...I decided on an angel hair pasta with their house made marinara. On top of it, I decided to have some grilled chicken. It was fantastic, and my dad's meatloaf sliders were also out of the park. For desert, we decided on the Key Lime Pie and the Pot De Creme. The pie was great, but the Pot De Creme was amazing. The rich flavors of the chocolate along with the kick of the huckleberry made the already great night even better. Overall, it's a great restaurant with fantastic staff, great atmosphere, and food to die for. My family will be coming back here on out next trip, and I'm so exited for that day!More

Went for dinner here with my wife and we were impressed. Very friendly service and a menu that had a unique variety of items. We had the salmon and the meatloaf and they were excellent! Cozy atmosphere and right downtown. Lots of street parking all...around.More

Stopped in for a late lunch / early dinner. I had the Lobster chowder which was a house recipe and worth trying if you are a lobster chowder fan. The korean pork salad also a unique combination - loved the homemade kimchi and the pork/sauce...was tender and flavorful.More

Food and service were very good. Needs air conditioning to add to the experience. It might be time to change up the menu a little, for the locals.

Baxter's is a great place to eat in Sandpoint. We ate outside and didn't see much of the inside. From what little I saw, it is fairly standard, but upscale bar and restaurant. The hostess and our servers were all friendly and helpful. Prices are...on the high end for Sandpoint, but not too outrageous. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo. It was one of the better ones I have had. It came with asparagus and a small piece of bread. If you're looking to splurge a bit in Sandpoint, Baxter's is a great option.More

I was very dissatisfied with lunch here today. Cold soggy French fires, burger with no toppings and slow service. I won’t be back.

Baxters, named after the owner's dog, is a great little restaurant in downtown Sandpoint. Free parking. I had the fresh halibut with a mango salsa. It was cooked to perfection, and a huge piece, but could've used more mango salsa. My husband had the sirloin...salad, and the meat was too rare (he had ordered medium) so it had to go back to the kitchen.More

Nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive. Fish special (halibut) was cooked perfectly and accompanying veggies were great. Looking forward to coming back again next time in town.

There were 5 of us and had a variety of dishes, all were very good. From the Spicy Shrimp Etouffee, to Halibut to Grilled Pork Chop w/Kimchee it was all good. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about what was on the menu. You can tell...they care about their customers. The ambiance of the room is pretty good. It follows the current trend of hard floors, brick walls, hard ceilings, that make this style dining room noisy.More

for this place from the maid at the hotel. She was right. I'll echo the comments about the cioppino. Worth the price. The mussels were especially good. Good service, maybe a little expensive, but I would definitely go back next time I'm in Sandpoint.
