Was clean quiet we had a wonderful experience. We had prime rib which was cooked perfectly med rare. Our waitress was very good friendly but not to disruptive. Will be visiting next time we stay at the syringa lodge.

Salmon, Idaho is a quaint little town set in the mountains of Idaho and approximately 5-1/2 hours north of Bosie. Needless to say ,in a town this size, there are not many restaurants and none that are 5 Star. However, while not being 5-Star, the Shady Nook is quaint, and varied menu and the food good. I had the filet... More

The Shady Nook offered the best food and margaritas we had in our entire trip. The only off-putting thing was the advertisement was not appealing to me. I am glad I got past the imitation art nouveau lady in a wine glass. I wish we could have stayed another night in Salmon, Idaho, simply to eat at the Shady Nook... More

Not a lot to look at on the outside but what a charming restaurant inside. The service was excellent, the menu quite varied even though they claim to be a steakhouse, and the food preparation was spot on. One of the best restaurants on a recent trip through Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Across the parking lot from the Stagecoach Inn... More

Great food, great atmosphere but our waiter forgot us a couple of times. My husband ordered beef ribs, delicious! My salmon was served with a mango chutney....yummy! The have a beautiful patio and the dining room is comfortable with a fireplace and fun art. I ordered a glass of blended red wine, a local vintage which was amazing.

Went to The Shady Nook for dinner. Ordered Caesar salad. The Romaine lettuce was not very fresh and the salad was small. We ate in the restaurant area that was rather dark and slightly run down.

Started with excellent drinks. Then to delicious dinner. Had to have salmon while in Salmon! Excellent choice. Very well prepared. We planned to head somewhere else for after dinner drinks but we were having too much fun to leave. They finally decided to close at 1am. Great night!

Ate dinner in pub. Service was ok. Food was decent. Expanded pub menu was nice because there was not much of a selection on regular menu. Waitstaff was friendly.

The shady nook has been through some ups and downs but still one of my favorite places to eat on the weekends me and my mom eat there all the time as far as food goes the sweet potato fries are my favorite and for drinks I like the classic Shirley temple

Great food. Nice bar. Lots of local people go to this restaurant. We were staying at the stagecoach inn and Debbie at the front desk recommended the Nook. A little pricy but very good.
