Made 3rd trip within 3 weeks to see if poor service, quality of food and amount of food given with increased cost was their new standard. Unfortunately, within the past few months the Nook has gone down on all counts. Sad as it is one of the few remaining bar/restaurants in Salmon with a classier environment and use to be... More

This is one of my favorite dinner spots in Salmon. Wonderful food, never had anything we didn't love. Can be a bit spendy if you are on a budget.

This great place is within easy walking distance from the Stagecoach Inn, the Riverfront Suites and Century II Campground along the SalmonRiver on Highway 93 north. I had my very favorite, the coconut prawns and others had the blackened.salmon with penne pasta. The special or loin steak was very tender and tasty. Of course, the mud pie was "to die... More

The food was incredible , he had the prime rib , and could barely finish, I had the ribs so yummy, this little place has indoor, outdoor and lounge setting, so you can pick the right spot for you. Lots of choices on menu and great service.

Ate at the Shady Nook and took my wife out on date night. I had the rib eye steak and it was amazing. My wife had the coconut shrimp and she said it was some of the best shrimp she has ever eaten. We will definitely good there again. Service was great!!

Salmon, Idaho is a quaint little town set in the mountains of Idaho and approximately 5-1/2 hours north of Bosie. Needless to say ,in a town this size, there are not many restaurants and none that are 5 Star. However, while not being 5-Star, the Shady Nook is quaint, and varied menu and the food good. I had the filet... More

The Shady Nook offered the best food and margaritas we had in our entire trip. The only off-putting thing was the advertisement was not appealing to me. I am glad I got past the imitation art nouveau lady in a wine glass. I wish we could have stayed another night in Salmon, Idaho, simply to eat at the Shady Nook... More

Not a lot to look at on the outside but what a charming restaurant inside. The service was excellent, the menu quite varied even though they claim to be a steakhouse, and the food preparation was spot on. One of the best restaurants on a recent trip through Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Across the parking lot from the Stagecoach Inn... More
