We were directed here by a clerk at our hotel in Coeur d'Alene, but then found there was one in downtown CDA way closer. Anyway, it was in an odd little strip mall, but was very good food. I had the taco salad (ask for the "northern" style is you want the crispy bowl) and the chicken inside was plentiful... More

I moved to Florida in 2001 but always remembered the Pollo la Crema that I enjoyed from Toro Viejo. The dish is absolutely wonderful and must be quite unique. In all my travels I haven't found anything quite like it; even asking for it by name at several mexican food establishments in the SE. I finally made it back and... More

We stayed the night in Post Falls on the way elsewhere. The desk clerk recommended TV and we enjoyed it. The chips and salsa were very good and refilled. My chile relleno was solid- not Santa Fe but respectable. A spinach and cheese enchilada was good. My husband had pork 3 ways and enjoyed it. Moderately priced and tasty with... More

It is Saturday June 3, 2016 at 12:28 pm local time. This restaurant has posted hours of business on Saturdays as open from 11am to 10 pm. Yet, for some mysterious reason, they have chosen, and yes they have indeed chosen, the key word being chosen, to be closed. This is a restaurant. As such, one could assume that a... More

I eat dinner here every week passing through. It was excellent like it usually is. The service here is very friendly & the prices are quite fair. If you like authentic Mexican food, good company, and a fair price, then this place is for you.

I'm a truck driver from Canada, I stopped in for supper one day. From then on I have a hard time driving by this place. This place has good service and amazing food, would recommend to anyone who enjoys real Mexican food.

I have a hard time believing we went to this place on an off-day. We were the only customers during lunch time...maybe that should have been a clue. The decor is fine and the staff was friendly enough, but the food...I've traveled through Mexico, lived in the Southwest, eaten at both good and bad and this was definitely not a... More

The bartender is lacking in any skill to make a flavored margarita, just dont. The food is okay on a good day but is never consistant. Service always starts out well. The last three times they have taken a 20% tip out of my change before returning it to me. This is for a one item ticket. I am happy... More

This is an excellent Mexican Restaurant. The food was delicious, plentiful, piping hot, served on hot plates. The service was friendly and efficient. It is family owned and managed. The decor is colorful in Mexican style. Since someone else mentioned the salsa, I'll say it was tasty. I would highly recommend it for visitors.

Love this place! It's very difficult to find good Mexican food north of San Diego but these people do a pretty good job and they are very nice!
