5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My Husband and I came to Boise to visit my mom and sister for the week, and we wanted to try something totally different and authentic, and I came across this place on Trip advisor. I am so glad I did because the place was wonderful. We actually called to make reservations because they are only opened from 5 to... More

My husband and myself, Idaho residents, along with family visiting from the East coast went to Epi's to have a taste of something different but still Idaoan. An aunt & uncle are also foodies! The cuisine is upscale Basque food (from Northern region of Spain); but put together in such a crafty and simple way it is elegant at the... More

The menu is traditional Basque, the family members greet you and visit with you, laughing as they pour good wine and tell stories of their grandparents. This place is very special, in every way! It's classy, but local and has "real" food!

Chris greeted us at the door 1/2 hour before close with open arms. She's the one that makes this place so successful. Ordered lamb stew and meatballs. Friendly staff too! Highly recommended.

This place deserves it's #1 rating! When you walk through the door, there can be no doubt that you are welcomed and appreciated. We were quickly seated in the comfortable dining and, given the friendly rapport and repartee, you would have thought we ate there twice a week. The food was absolutely phenomenal and, for the dining experience, not out... More

Epi's starts as a "seating only" experience, so you can't just drop in. Call ahead, make a reservation, and you'll be treated like family when you get there. The owner hugged us and told us she was glad we were there when we arrived (what?!!). On this trip I ordered the meat dish, which was prefaced with family-style vegetables and... More

Ate there once, then bought a gift cert for neighbors. They said it was the best food they had ever had. Family atmosphere, very friendly, inclusive and on point. Food is fantastic.

Everything is good about this place. Home quality excellent food, lovely atmosphere. Crocketas were excellent. The meals are quite big coming with soup and salad. Halibut was superb. My friend have enjoyed their lamb chops. Check out the LAN Rioja wine. Reservations recommended.

I don't give 5 stars easily, this place is 5 stars. The setting is basically in a suburban home, seating is crowded but not claustrophobic. The woman that greeted us was so sweet! Our waitress said it was her aunt; it's a family owned and run Basque restaurant. She took my hands, and I have to say, was so sincere... More

This was my second visit to Epi's and the food is as wonderful as I remembered. Started with the fried calamari appetizer which is big enough for the four of us to share. The calamari was very tender and the sauce was yummy. The special that night was sauté sablefish 3 of the group chose that and raved how good... More
