I had the veggie sandwich, my husband ordered the italian sub. My kids had the kids grilled cheese and PB&J. I have the worlds pickiest eaters and everyone ate! Food was excellent. Hours are 11-4 Tuesday to Saturday
Their veggie sandwich on whole wheat bread is outstanding! Their wheat bread is yummy, not heavy, not cottony and with some chewiness. They make it right there in their shop every day! The slices are much larger than normal bread so a full sandwich is...a meal. They include potato chips with it. The owner talked to us, was friendly and made sure we were satisfied with our food while dining. Highly recommend this place for delicious sandwiches!!More
Well the BLT should be titled where is the bacon where is the tomato and where is the lettuce. The bread was great it was almost like having a Mayonaise sandwich. Called to let the Manager know what we thought. Whose name was Jen. She...said they use deli style bacon it’s sliced really thin and they use only eight pieces for a whole sandwich and four for a half sandwich. And that it’s really not their best sandwich on the menu so next time either ask for more bacon or don’t order it at all. WOW. When I say thin sliced I mean paper thin🤬.More
Went in for lunch and was really disappointed! While for locals this has been one of the best lunch restaurants in town. My wife and I were so happy to see the restaurant open again and went in for lunch. While the bread was fresh,...there wasn’t much on it for the price. My grilled cheese sandwich had one slice of cheese and was tasteless. My wife’s sandwich was the crab salad and had maybe a teaspoon of crab salad and was also tasteless. I don’t know if the pandemic has caused Stax into desperate action to so drastically reduce the quality of their food, but I certainly will not be going back!!More
LOVE Stax! Their sandwiches on their homemade bread are fabulous and so tasty. Their location before the move was nice, but not a lot of parking available. They are still on the main road into McCall, but have a large parking lot. They have a...great list of both hot sandwiches and cold --- something for everyone.More
Love the new spacious location, plenty of outside seating as well. Same great soup, salads and sandwiches served on daily homemade breads. Best homemade lemonade! Service not only friendly but fast. YUM!
