Very loud sports bar in the Red Lion

I am not a sports person and found the bar extremely loud and full of sports fan. If you're looking for a quiet beverage and snack, this is not the place. Stayed at the Red Lion and had drinks and appetizers at M.J. Barleyhopper's. Great house wine during happy hour. For $6.00, the two glasses were just about the equivalent of a half-bottle. Appetizers were also quite good. Service was fantastic and our waitress was very attentive, polite, and professional. Understand they brew their own beer. Would return to try a... More

Our waitress Dayle was awesome. She was helpful and always there when we needed her. The food was basic and the portions big.

We haven't been to MJ Barleyhoppers in quite some time and it will probably be a long time before we go back. It was a lovely evening to sit on the deck, that's the only positive that I can say about our experience. I don't think it is too much to ask for cigarette butts to be picked up off... More

This is a rather layback place but was a refuge from the 115 degrees outside and we were staying over the road so we dived in. The place was showing about every sports event on its 5 TV,s and it was just..........relaxing. We got great service and the staff was very helpful and friendly as was the food. Prices are... More

Nice bar, good service, great beers. Unfortunately the half-dozen or so children (ages 6-10ish) running around, screeching, doing cartwheels and throwing darts all over were a huge turn off. At 8:30 PM, we stopped in for a quiet drink and didn't expect to have to deal with a gaggle of totally unsupervised little hellions, while mom and dad played pool... More

great happy hour with half price appetizers and $3 pints. Good selection of in house brews and others from the Northwest. Nice outdoor patio/deck.

MJ BarleyHoppers should get a 5 star review. It overlooks the valley, you are able to sit outside (or inside) and enjoy the river view. The have a beer master and offer many home crafted beers. There is a large menu or one can order from the Meriwheters Dinner Menu. The food is very good, well prepared and presented. However,... More

Beer was good, shared a plate of nachos that was good, service was friendly and quick. Nothing extraordinary to make us want to go back. Good option if you are in that area and on foot from one of the nearby hotels.

Ordered 4 pizza's here for 6 of us to eat in. Flavour was very bland and they served them in cardboard takeout boxes. Not sure if they went down the street to get them or what, but we didn't say takeout. Got soggy in a hurry. Service was good and it is quite large inside with a patio. Just across... More
