I loved this place! It reminded me of where I grew up. Rockland, Idaho. Not only was the food great but the atmosphere was vintage. A place where everyone knows everyone and where the old boys come in for coffee and discuss the world events....So much like home.More

It doesn't look like it has changed a lot since the 1950's but the prices were very reasonable and the food was very good. It made a great lunch stop. I have been right past it on the freeway many times and didn't even know...it was there. It was well worth the stop. Where else can you get a 1/2 pound burger and fries for under $7. You can tell they are hand made patties with real meat. It looks very dated but don't let that scare you. Try it, you will be pleasantly surprised.More

This used to be the meal stop in the pre-freeway Greyhound bus days so it can accommodate a large crowd. These days, it is a quiet, off the highway 50's gem. Portions are ample, service friendly and prompt. Worth a stop.

Looking for good food in an authentic 50's cafe? Can't beat this place. Charming step back in time. Good sandwiches.

We try to eat here whenever we can. It used to be a bus stop cafe when before the freeway, thus lots of seating space. Food is always excellent and the price VERY good. We had the egg salad sandwich on sourdough with split pea...soup and a slice of pie. Would recommend it anytime. Open until 9PM. I very rarely rate a place to eat this high.More

We stayed in the motel attached to the cafe for one week. Every breakfast was spent here and the coffee was great, the food stupendous, and the service without equal! We enjoyed good, homecooked meals almost every day and I will always come back here...for the great food coices. From chicken fried steaks, to finger steaks, to liver and onions, and burgers, there was nothing that needed improvement. I had never heard of fry sauce, but it went well with every kind of french fry we were served! We were even able to order something that was not on the menu! The nachos were good and definitely need to be added to the regular menu! I highly recommend this place, as they catered to our large parties of six to twelve people bombarding them all at once!More

Basic diner. The food is good and the prices are usually great! Your order may take time to get to you so if you're in a hurry call ahead!

Our 2000 mile trek across the USA continued. We stopped here on the way to the Three Island Crossing at Glenns Ferry. Hanson's ... the local café. Service was great ... friendly ... helpful .. chatty. Sandwiches made to order .... they forgave me my...English ways and made me a turkey sandwich with just turkey ... hold the mayo ... hold everything. The coffee was hot and the spot made for a great 'nooner'. We travel America to stop at local places like this. Thanks for the experience.More

The best pancakes and meat and eggs and coffee too was really palatable and great tasting. The staff of 1, Kim, was more than personable and worth a stop just for her. She does it all and cooks it too. I think maybe she left...the Bis/gravy in and it got overheated and ruined it but just guessing. This place is a relief from the overpriced places along the towns nearby the interstates. We were so happy the prices were in line with respecting the wallet. We'd be here again when possible.More
