Small colorful truck in a parking lot with two guys that put out some of the best sushi🍣I had in this area. We were pleasantly surprised with the menu selection, taste, serving size and price. Call a head for pick up or order there and if weather is good you can eat at an outside table or there is a little inside eating area to enjoy your meal.

Been going here for several years. Tried all the local sushi places and in a lot of locations outside of Idaho. I can't say enough about this place and the folks at Raw Dead Fish. It seems all reviews of a business have one or two negative reviews. In this case, they are undeserved. Just take a look at all the 5 star reviews; they speak for themselves. I don't believe there is another place locally where you can find the combination of quality, price and friendliness.

Came into town to stay at resort a few days. We always ask the people that work where we stay “where do you eat?” RawDeadFish was the reply. Liking the name and recommendation we were up for a new Sushi spot. Impressive! Spicy Tuna roll is spot on what I was looking for. Son had a build your own Sushirrito and his truly discerning palate was delighted at his choice. My wife loved the depth of flavor of the Miso and the quality of Hamachi Sashimi and Spyder roll. I expect every visit to Couer d’Alene will include a trip to the best Sushi truck I’ve found.

Me and my family were pretty excited to try this place. However, bith my family and extended family were pretty underwhelmed. Not much flavor and the rice and roll over all was pretty dry. For the price we will not be going back.

I took my son here for lunch. We really enjoyed the spicy tuna roll and the nigiri. We also ordered a sushirito, which I would not do again. 1. It was impossible to take a bite and get a little of everything. 2. It had a weird, rubbery wrapper around it. 3. It had fake crab in it It didn't specify this in the description; it just said 4 types of fish.). That's just wrong. I'm at a sushi place, not a fake food place.
We will be back to try some of the other rolls, but a lot of items in the menu had fake crab, mayonnaise, and or cream cheese in them. I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to sushi and am not a fan of any of those ingredients in sushi.

This has been my go-to sushi place in North Idaho. The best sushi at the best price. The sushi is made in a food truck in a food court, but don't let that fool you; this place is great. I originally came from a part of the country where sushi was popular and good quality, so when I want great sushi and service at a great price, this is where I go! The truck next door serves gourmet food, and next to him is good Mexican food. This food court offers quality at reasonable prices. Check out Raw Dead Fish. If you don't mind not walking into a restaurant, you will probably like this place.

Hubby got a hankering for sushi but, we wanted to keep costs down. Rawdeadfish came up with great ratings. Raw fish and food truck don't sound like they'd go together but, they do. The truck is somewhat off the beaten path but, it worth the trip. We got our order to go as it was a bit chilly outside. Perfect meal. The whole family enjoyed every bite. Kids loved rice balls and chopstick guides. Hubby loved birthday meal. We've decided to go to Rawdeadfish for his birthday each year (as well as a couple more times!)

Menu has great options, including a surprise combo that these awesome guys can make for you according to your preferences.
Vegetarian and vegan sushi options were delicious! Way better than your standard veggie roll ;)
Service was very friendly and fast!

Ok so I went just because the name is so GREAT!!!
Honestly some of the best I have ever had. I had no idea they were a food truck when we left, and almost said no when I called because I couldn't find them but we gave it a chance. I'm very picky about my sushi, you wouldn't think that if I can eat it from a food truck, because I was spoiled with Wasabi Bistro. If this was just in a restaurant. We are going to take our growler next time and take it over to the growler guys which is a block away. I would put their sushi up against any in Coeur d'alene and even Spokane! You won't be sorry..

At a recommendation from a friend tired RawDeadFish. The truck itself looks good and clean. I arrived before the lunch rush yet it took over ten minutes to get the "North Idaho" roll as well as two pieces of yellowtail nigiri. Food tasted as it should, however nothing really stood out. This is a great place to go for a quick sushi fix if you are in the area, but I would not go out of my way to come here. There are other establishments within CDA that are better. Overall not bad just average.

Great sushi and variety at reasonable prices. Definitely some of the best sushi in coeur d'alene. I like their classic and fancy rolls.

Truck or not they have the best sushi in town at a price you can't beat. So good. And the Travis is amazing and him and his staff are friendly.

This is hands down the best sushi I have eaten in years! I heard through friends to try this truck and now it is my go-to sushi place. I had the North Idaho roll and the salmon was so fresh and buttery, I couldn't believe it. I would compare it to Nobu in Las Vegas that I had years ago. I also had the spicy tuna roll, which was fantastic. This is my first experience with a food truck and is so much better than all the sushi places in town...and I have tried all of them. The size of the rolls are big for the price you pay and I cant recommend this sushi enough!!! A++++

I was in town for a few nights and was craving sushi. My smell-sensitive (and pregnant) wife was not the least bit interested in a sushi restaurant, smelling fish, or looking at raw dead fish. A sushi food truck called Rawdeadfish (what are the chances?) was the compromise. She'd let me order there and then go elsewhere. Originally I was skeptical of the words "food truck" following the word "sushi", but I trusted the reviews and decided to give it a try.
It was a mistake. Upon arrival I asked the two employees working in the truck for suggestions, they gave a few but were especially excited about the sushi-rito or sushi burrito for those that don't speak japañol. In hindsight they might have been excited about the recommendation because it was over $15 for a single roll. Probably nice margins on this piece of food. In my mind the price only invoked the rule of a veblen good. I was excited.
Upon receiving my sushi-rito I dove in. The raw fish was rubbery, cheap, and cut into chunks far too large (think jello squares). Aside from the budget and poorly prepared fish, the flavors and combinations were far too many. Inside, there was everything one could imagine being in a sushi roll - and more.
Needless to say, I was let-down and had contracted a case of buyers remorse. I couldn't finish half the roll without the next bite invoking a dry-heave. I threw more than half the 'rito away - which is a lot coming from me. I can't stand letting food (or anything) go to waste.
