I'm on an I-90 trip in my Tesla, so looked for a place walking distance from the Supercharger station - 10 minute walk to Drummin Up.
If you read my reviews, you know that I am a critic of brisket and ribs, and no one...matches Railhead in Fort Worth, TX. These guys come close.
I started at their website, and although not disingenuous the picture of the couple in a restaurant is a catering pic, not their restaurant. They have a trailer/truck on the side of the street. Doesn't affect the food, but don't go expecting cloth napkins.
You know it's good when the line starts forming before they open at 11:00. I got exactly what I asked for - a quarter pound of brisket wet, one rib to try out (a generous cut!) and extra sauce. The sauce is okay - mild. The rib is literally falling off the bone. The brisket is moist and sliced into large bites full. All of this for a better than fair price.
I'll be back!More
They catered our rehearsal dinner for 50 people, Even the people who do not like BBQ commented how good the food was!! VERY fresh salads, veggies, and great Mac n cheese. Of course the chicken and brisket were juicy and grilled to perfection. highly recommend.!!
My husband and I had given up on finding good brisket outside of Texas. Some neighbors told us about this place, and we drove right over. We split a brisket plate and had mac and cheese and coleslaw as our sides. The brisket was fork...tender with great smoky flavor. The sides were wonderful. We plan to become regular customers.More
Drummin Up BBQ is unbeatable. Try the ribs, chicken, pulled pork, brisket or any of the menu items because all are excellent! The thick sliced lightly smoked tender brisket is one of my favorites. The food is consistently wonderful.
Everything I have ever tried on the menu is fantastic. However, my favorite is the brisket and it is consistently the best I have ever had. Highly recommend. In fact, I am ordering enough to feed 20 guests this Tuesday

Thanks Tony for your feedback. My staff and I really enjoy reading these reviews!!!
Seattle has an active restaurant scene, but a good-value BBQ meal is hard to find. The meat is either average to mediocre, or the portions are unsatisfyingly small for the price.
Thus, after having had lunch at Drummin Up BBQ in CDI, am going to...make a future road trip with my wife and include lunch at Drummin Up on the itinerary!
Excellent Briket, thick sliced, moist, tender, and not overly smokey. All the sides are equally great, and the prices made it all a very good value. Absolutely worth a visit, wish they were in our neck of the woods!More
The prices were cheap and the portions were large.
After that, I went to the taste and it just wasn't there. I bought a Carolina pulled pork sandwich that tasted like it was boiled or made in an oven. It definitely didn't have a barbecue...flavor from a truck like I was hoping for.
It's completely possible I caught them on a bad day since I seem to be one of the only subpar reviews. I hope so, because I love food out of a truck!More

Bummer....sorry it fell short. My customers usually go out of their way to give me praises on their sandwiches before they leave. Swing by any night before we are open at 10pm and you will see Billy out there loading the smokers. Mabe just more...More
Love the food here.
The BBQ is as good as any in Texas. The pork was very tender and cut to order in chunks. Very lean as the fat was perfectly rendered.
My ribs likewise were perfect with a great bite.
The Mac and cheese...is delicious as the pepper jack has just a right spice.
Very good coleslaw.
Climate in INW makes dining al fresco pleasant.
Friendly folks in the truck.More
What a gem of a place. Who would’ve thought! The brisket beef bbq is so tender and delicious, but the chicken slice or not is so tender. My family likes the pulled pork, tender and bbq good. I really like these sandwiches. Potatoes salad, cole slaw...or beans make this a big meal. The sandwiches are big with a lot of meat. Don’t wait get there soon. They usually open 11 am and closed Sunday n Monday. He can also be closed other days since he does a lot of catering. Oh and I noticed it can be bought by pound but I think you have to put that order in days before.More
