We met family we hadn’t seen in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised by the location in a Best Western motel but the service & food was really good. We had reservations for lunch but didn’t feel rushed even though there was a full...house. First of all Mulligans is located inside Best Western Coeur d Alene Inn. A first time visitor might not know that there are 2 options at Mulligans. First is the “regular” restaurant that is comfortable booths or tables, very nice atmosphere and a huge salad...bar that includes soup of the day and always Chili. Lots of salad choices plus tons of fruit and at a very affordable price. Can’t remember the price but something like $8.99. The menu has many tasty choices too if you don’t want the salad bar or the salad bar can be added to you menu choice for about $3.99. Menu items that I’ve tried are fish and chips, turkey dinner, beef stew...all are excellent and too much to eat it all! Now...the second part that is somewhat hidden is the bar. No, not like a regular bar but a cozy little place that is so comfy in the winter. You can eat by the fireplace, choose a booth or tables. It’s tucked away and quiet! The menu is different too or you can order off the main menu. The bar menu includes ribs and fries, tacos, and more...best part is the bar menu is about $6.99 for all the choices. Now another treat is the monthly “deal.” Be sure to ask...it’s always different and is usually $5.99 for a regular, huge meal. And this is served in the restaurant or the bar. It’s a local hangout for that super special. Plenty of parking, great service from wait staff...try it, you’ll love it!More

From Idaho trout to BBQ baby back ribs smothered in huckleberry BBQ sauce, this place offers a diverse menu of lunch and dinner items, reasonably priced for the quality and quantity offered. Service is typically friendly and responsive. We've eaten here 7-8 times now on...visits to Cd'A. Highly recommended.More

We have been to Mulligan's many times in recent years and only have good things to say about the service, the food and the atmosphere. All visits, except for one, there was a single very personable, very busy and very competent server doing everything. However...during our evening visit last week something happened that bothered us. Two well-dressed older men came in and sat at the bar near us. We were asking the server a question and one of them felt compelled to interrupt with a remark that she was not being truthful. Then both went behind the bar into the kitchen and came back with bowels of soup. Also it was somewhat disconcerting how personal and familiar they were with the female staff that were obviously not happy but tolerated it. At first we assumed, with the kitchen access, that they were management but realized any management would be more respectful of their staff. From eaves dropping on their conversation it seems they were likely just car salesmen with attitude. So saying all that to say this: we are not comfortable eating where the public can wander into the kitchen and serve themselves.More

Ate here a few times during my stay. The salad bar was fresh and well presented, plates kept cold and 2 different soups everyday. The fish and chips were delicious and hamburgers outstanding. A very nice addition to the hotel.

We liked this place so much we came back twice. The first night, we opted to build our own appetizer: Wings, chicken strips, etc. Enough food to feed a family of four, and tasty. We've lived here for 14 years and never even thought to stop here until tonight. We didn't have high expectations walking in, but it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience! It was clean and quiet, and the menu had quite a good selection....We started with the crab and artichoke dip, which we loved. My husband enjoyed the huge short rib, which was rich and tender. I had the brisket sandwich, which was big and tasty. I was even impressed with the fries. We eat out a lot, and seem to be disappointed more often than night, but not tonight. We'll be back!More
