Mulligan's Grille is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Executive Chef Coedy La Bolle and his team have created some of Coeur d' Alene's finest food and the best value in town. Our menu features Northwest inspired, home-made style food with signature dishes such as our famous chicken fried steak, oven roasted turkey dinner, smoked baby back ribs, fish & chips and chicken Parmesan. We also offer some of Coeur d'Alene's finest steaks and seafood including our Jack Daniel's Steak, house cut rib-eye, pan-fried Idaho trout and Parmesan crusted cod loin. We met family we hadn’t seen in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised by the location in a Best Western motel but the service & food was really good. We had reservations for lunch but didn’t feel rushed even though there was a full house. It took longer than normal for our meals to come but when they did, everyone was pleased with the quality and taste of their orders.

My wife and I had a pleasant dinner at Mulligan's. The menu is quite extensive to satisfy most tastes.
I ordered smoked brisket which came as a man-sized portion smothered in BBQ sauce. The french fries were perfect; slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
My wife ordered Chicken Alfredo which we enjoyed as the portion was too large for her to finish.
Erin, our waitress, was friendly and attentive to our needs.
I agree with the lady who described the atmosphere as cozy. It was quiet enough and the music soft enough that we could easily carry on a conversation.
Although we did not partake, to my surprise there were two full meal specials offered at $9.99.
Mulligan's is directly off I-90 and offers a quick stop for travelers.

Mulligans is a nice clean restaurant in the Best Western on Appleway in Coeur d Alene Idaho. It is very clean and cozy. I really like lunch soup and salad bar the even provide you with gloves to get your plate and your food. The food is fabulous they have a variety. The gals there are really nice.

Meals are family priced and quality is consistent. Some of the higher end meals, such as the pork schnitzel and chicken parm that we ordered was overcooked and hard, but their thai chicken salad was delicious. Sandwiches and morning buffet were great. Avocado/crab dip was great.

We went to their Thanksgiving buffet with several friends (as we did last year), but were greatly disappointed. Our reservation was for 4:00 PM since they were closing at 6:00 PM. Unfortunately, at 5:00 PM (we hadn't even gotten our desserts), someone came to our table and told us they would soon be closing and there were a few desserts left so we'd better get them now. This was most embarrassing since we invited people from out of state and bragged about this restaurant. Not only was the food sub-par this year, but being rushed out an hour before we were told it was closing, was rude and disturbing. Plus, the server added an 18% tip without telling us and since it was dark in the restaurant, we paid an additional 20% (thinking that was the tip). We will not return next year.

We, 5 of us total, sat down at 3:30 pm and completed early dinner at 4:45. Waitress was great. Was not busy at all for a Friday. Usually packed. Menu is tablet only, prices have significantly increased. To add salad bar to a entree is now $8.00. Fried shrimp was overly dark brown. Rice and vegies great but very very small portions. The prime rib dip very slim on the meat. Generous amount of fries. The special chicken Alfredo sauce was just a white bland sauce no garlic flavor or other seasonings at all. We all had great open conversation because only a couple tables around us so that was nice we could hear each other.

Dinner is very good, I've eaten here 6 times now. Live music Friday and Saturday nights. The apple harvest salad is wonderful, the steaks are very good, they have a salad bar, full bar with a friendly bartender.

We sat in the bar, just two of us, there were only 5 other tables seated, and we waited for over 20 minutes to even get waters and then were told he would be right back for anything else and waited another 15.. it was more important for him to bus tables than to take our orders when no other customers were even waiting to be seated..

First of all Mulligans is located inside Best Western Coeur d Alene Inn. A first time visitor might not know that there are 2 options at Mulligans. First is the “regular” restaurant that is comfortable booths or tables, very nice atmosphere and a huge salad bar that includes soup of the day and always Chili. Lots of salad choices plus tons of fruit and at a very affordable price. Can’t remember the price but something like $8.99. The menu has many tasty choices too if you don’t want the salad bar or the salad bar can be added to you menu choice for about $3.99. Menu items that I’ve tried are fish and chips, turkey dinner, beef stew...all are excellent and too much to eat it all!
Now...the second part that is somewhat hidden is the bar. No, not like a regular bar but a cozy little place that is so comfy in the winter. You can eat by the fireplace, choose a booth or tables. It’s tucked away and quiet! The menu is different too or you can order off the main menu. The bar menu includes ribs and fries, tacos, and more...best part is the bar menu is about $6.99 for all the choices. Now another treat is the monthly “deal.” Be sure to ask...it’s always different and is usually $5.99 for a regular, huge meal. And this is served in the restaurant or the bar. It’s a local hangout for that super special.
Plenty of parking, great service from wait staff...try it, you’ll love it!

From Idaho trout to BBQ baby back ribs smothered in huckleberry BBQ sauce, this place offers a diverse menu of lunch and dinner items, reasonably priced for the quality and quantity offered. Service is typically friendly and responsive. We've eaten here 7-8 times now on visits to Cd'A. Highly recommended.

We have been to Mulligan's many times in recent years and only have good things to say about the service, the food and the atmosphere. All visits, except for one, there was a single very personable, very busy and very competent server doing everything.
However during our evening visit last week something happened that bothered us. Two well-dressed older men came in and sat at the bar near us. We were asking the server a question and one of them felt compelled to interrupt with a remark that she was not being truthful. Then both went behind the bar into the kitchen and came back with bowels of soup.
Also it was somewhat disconcerting how personal and familiar they were with the female staff that were obviously not happy but tolerated it. At first we assumed, with the kitchen access, that they were management but realized any management would be more respectful of their staff.
From eaves dropping on their conversation it seems they were likely just car salesmen with attitude.
So saying all that to say this: we are not comfortable eating where the public can wander into the kitchen and serve themselves.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We will remind our bar tending staff of the polices we have in place .
We would like to mention, that when sitting in our lounge, our Guests do have access to go through our Busser station, into the restaurant, to access our soup and salad bar. We do believe that is what these gentleman had done to enjoy their soup.
Due to our food license, as well as our insurance polices, we do not allow or condone ANY access to the "back of the house" at anytime by ANY Guest that is not currently employed.
Again, we truly appreciate you bringing this experience to our attention and we will be following up with staff to ensure these practices are kept in place to ensure the safety of each of our Guests. We hope to see you again soon!
