Stopped at the Garnet for brunch while in town. Awesome little cafe with solid food and a fun staff who seemed to really enjoy what they're doing.

This place was my first experience of food in Idaho - I'm a New Englander, and was pretty skeptical that food here would be up to my standards - I know, a food snob! - but the Garnet Cafe was quite good. We were seated in the very small outdoor area, which is nicely screened from the streets. I was... More

Cute little place and don't let the outside fool you. This place is small so expect a long wait. We arrived at 10:30 and waited 30 min. for a 2 top and then another 30 for our food. They should put some benches outside. There were crowds of people sitting in the curbs. The food was really good. Got steak... More

We had Brunch here as a family the other morning, my kids love this place as much as I do! The food is so good you want to savoir every bite. It may not look like a wonderful place to eat but it is a diamond in the ruff!

Wow! Great, laid-back atmosphere. Our waitress was efficient, sweet and very helpful. And the food..... was fantastic. Great coffee and mimosa! Farm fresh ingredients, great menu, huge portions. Delicious. I highly recommend and the next time we are in CDA we will make a point to stop here. No kids menu but waitress was helpful in suggesting ordering the 1/2... More

First time there, and would never have stopped because the place is nothing to look at on the outside -- or the inside either for that matter. Teeny, tiny waiting area inside the door, and you sign on the clipboard on the wall to get the next available table. The music is too loud for my comfort, because the three... More

The Garnet Cafe was delicious! The service was fantastic and the food was superb! Small venue but moves people through fairly quickly. Worth the wait! Highly recommend the omelets and their lemon curd and raspberry jam for your toast!

Walking in, this place has a low key atmosphere. The staff greet you with wonderful smiles and during our Saturday morning wait, they were prompt in making us feel like we weren't forgotten. Food is locally grown, cooked fresh with significant portions. At breakfast, save room to smear the thick lemon curd jam on fresh, warm sourdough. Potatoes were cooked... More

This was the first place our family took us to eat out while visiting the Coeur d'Alene area, and WOW what a homerun! The server was great and provided excellent recommendations and service. The food was absolutely delicious. You will not leave there hungry or disappointed! Some of us got breakfast and a few got lunch. Everything looked and tasted... More

Our neighbor brought me here for breakfast and a week later we brought our husbands with us. If you like ham and eggs, you'll love their breakfast ham. It's the thickest piece of ham you've ever seen at a restaurant. Heck it's thicker than you'd slice yourself. Their food is from a nearby farm and you can sure see it... More
