Service was great and Katie was wonderful. Had the pulled pork sandwich (delicious) and a cup of clam chowder. I've had clam chowder all over the West and East coasts. Who would've thought I would have the best clam chowder in the middle of Idaho....It was amazing! Could barely see the soup through all the clams.More

Great to hear! Both the Pulled Pork and the Clam Chowder are old family recipes. Thanks for sharing!

The perfect place to stop and grab a beer and a burger after a lazy Sunday drive. Good service too! We’ll definitely be back! Keep up the great work Hilltop!

The staff is amazing! If you are lucky, you might catch a great classic movie showing, or maybe a local musician! Of course, the pizza is incredible, but the surprise is the brunch dishes! I highly recommend the "Smokejumper" sauce! You really can't go wrong...here. They serve great local beers, and fantastic bloody mary's. This is one of my favorite Boise secrets!!!More

Went there for breakfast one morning with my son. On a Saturday morning. They don’t open until 11:00AM. I thought that was a bit odd. Was greeted by a very friendly group and served by a very friendly server. Had biscuits and gravy, which was...wonderful. My son also enjoyed his breakfast and we both cleaned our plates. I enjoyed the food so much I took my wife there the very next week. She had salad and a sandwich, as did I. The service was mediocre at best, and we were in no hurry. The salad bar had stale veggies and lettuce and was not good. The sandwiches were also poor. I have heard that there burgers are good and perhaps should have tried one of those instead. I don’t know. I love the location and the restaurant but am now afraid to take friends there because of the disappointment I experienced with my wife.More

Stopped here on a a motorcycle ride with friends. One of us was satisfied with the meal, the other 4 were not. Poor breakfast skillets and other dishes, flavorless fries, waitress that forgot multiple items, pricey for the amount of food received. Most of our...party did not finish their meal citing quality issues.More

Lived in Boise for 26 years, but on the west side of town. In the fall we moved to the Barber Valley. Today we were trying to decide what to do for dinner and didn't feel like cooking or heading into town. So on a...whim we decided to head up here (only 10 minutes away for us) and give it a shot. They didn't have their normal menu tonight so we'll have to go back for that. They were doing all you can eat pizza and salad bar for $9.99 and doing an alternative to Treefort with County Line Brewing. Was pleased with the pizza and the vibe. Service was friendly and comfortable, there was live music and County Line was giving away free glasses when you purchased their beer. We had a wonderful evening. Will definitely be back to try the regular menu.More

Thanks for the kind words, Rob! And yes, we do the all-you-can-eat buffet on Wednesdays, but our regular menu Thursday through Sunday. All original recipes with home made dressings and sauces, right down to the ketchup! Look forward to seeing you again!

We stopped for bite after playing in the snow! Tte server was the best and suggested the Rueben pizza! Omg! It was “to die for!” The service and food were both incredible. We’ve stopped many times and it’s one of our favorites! Highly recommend it!

We're new to the area and stumbled across this fun spot via an on line search for sunday brunch options. Great service, good quality, fairly priced menu, etc. Very clean. We'll definitely go back to try lunch and/or dinner!More

Welcome to the area! The Hilltop was built in 1956 and has been an Ada County icon ever since. We saved it from the bulldozer in 2012, with big plans to return it to it's former status as "King of the Hill." Thanks for taking...More

This is my favorite stop. The owners are focused on quality food and drinks. They have a creative menu and a fantastic salad bar. The pizzas are wonderful. The tap rotates only the best local brews.

Haven't reviewed Hilltop in about 3 years so figured time for an update... Stopped in for dinner yesterday and once again had an excellent experience here. Have eaten here a few times since my last review and the service is always exceptional. Everyone is friendly,...helpful and are just good people. The pizzas are excellent, some of the best I've had in Boise. And the beer menu is DEEP! Just wish there were more IPAs on it. Stop at the top for a pie and brew!More
