Love their sushi and they make a great martini. It's a great place to meet up with your friends after work. Right in downtown.

Happy Fish is connected to the Ha'penny Bridge Pub, another of my frequent haunts. Where else can you get sushi and a black and tan at the same sitting?! The sushi was fresh, and the service very good.

I enjoy the food every time I go here. They are somewhat gluten free friendly too. I like that they are adjoined to an Irish pub (ha'penny) so folks I dine wih have choices beyond sushi. I am surprised at how not busy they are whenever I go, but they are located in an area that is busier in the... More

The menu is great, the food good, and the prices reasonable. For the last 5 to 6 years I have continued to try to like them. After you get you food and drinks thugs are fine. However, consistently waiting 1/2 hour to get service is unbelievable. Their wait staff is sub-par, not customer friendly, and frankly useless. We stared at... More

This place has issues. I went here for a business lunch. There was a total of 4 customers eating here including the 2 of us. Service was extremely slow. The waitress said the chef was "backed up" and we had to wait. Since the place was empty I assume they have a side business or catering business. My first concern... More

I wasn't too impressed with the freshness of the fish, or lack thereof. The miso was so salty I couldn't take more than one bite. My ginger lemon drop had the right idea, but it didn't stand out. Also there was so many broken pieces of ice in there, I ended up chewing it. With all the sushi places popping... More

Very welcoming and comfortable for a sushi bar. Wait staff was timely and nice. I ordered the sushi mixed plate that came with 7 different sushi and a tuna roll. I was impressed with the freshness and taste, it just wasn't enough to earn 5 stars from me. I will definitely be back though.

My general rule of thumb in regards to restaurants is "3 strikes and you're out". Our first visit to HF was decent, but service was a bit slow. However, my next 3 visits are the reason that I will not be returning. The first time was for a late lunch. The place was nearly empty and it took 55 minutes... More

This is a fun place to hit up before attending a show downtown, or late at night after an event. The sushi is great, the various rice bowls are great, and they have a wide assortment of drink specials. Fun atmosphere with good prices. You'll come back again.

Lots of fun drink options, they have some fun martini options along with the regulars. Sushi is fresh and portions large. Staff were polite and fun. The fish aren't the only ones who are happy here :)

Thank Mary D
