Wow! The Basque market just catered our wedding and they did an amazing job. Seriously, Tara and her team created the perfect event for us. I know we definitely asked for more then there usual Paella but they handled it beautifully. We did a family style dinner with roasted artichokes that we beautifully plated, Green beans and tomatoes and a... More

My wife and I love going to The Basque Market for our "date night." It is quaint, charming, and fun. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. One of my favorite -- go to spots in Boise.

This is a market featuring Basque and Spanish foods, but they also serve a range of set-price meals (paella on some days/nights, and a 3-course set menu, $25, on others.) We had an absolutely wonderful time on a Friday night, and were amazed that the place wasn't packed. Between the three of us we had just about every option on... More

Paella is a dish I've always wanted to try. I heard about the Paella at the Basque Market on the radio and decided to give it a try. Boy was I amazed the , Paella here is literally a work of art, its made in this massive paella pan outdoors by several cooks the smells are truly amazing and the... More

My wife and I recently held a party and had The Basque Market cater their fabulous paella to our home. The Basque Market showed up with two large paella pans when scheduled. The paella was as good as when served in the restaurant. They also serve a full menu if you desire. We will use them again.

Attended a private function with a food vendor that had been retained for an outdoor BBQ so was disappointed we were not able to experience local tapas and paella. But we did enjoy some local Basque wines and some huckleberry vodka cocktails. The bar had more of an American Legion feel with many locals in attendance, but that added to... More

Attended a private function with a tasting of Basque wines, several Tapa's and a demonstration in cooking a very large Paella. Wonderful people running the place explaining everything quite well and the wine and food were really good. A nice casual spot that was enjoyable and followed by a nice walk around downtown. The market has a vey nice selection... More

Went in by accident during an event in the plaza and was pleasantly surprised. Had several small dishes and went away full but not bloated. The shrimp in garlic served with the best bread ever is awesome. Cheese, apple slices and bread was a great end to dinner. The flan was the best I have eaten. Well worth the effort... More

I signed up for the Paella cooking class. It started right on time. We were encouraged to sample four kinds of wine. Tapas were served. All of them delicious. We tasted wine and tapas during the cooking class. The class was informative and interactive. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. We also learned how to make an olive tapenade. Most folks were... More

Description
The Basque Market is located in the heart of The Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. We specialize in imports from the Basque Country and the Iberian Peninsula. Come get a taste of Spain during our daily tapas lunch, and on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday enjoy paella served on our patio. Happy Hour at The Basque Market means relaxing with a glass of fine wine or indulging in our specialty, frozen Sangria Blanco! We can cater parties large or small and have a wonderful pick-up menu for when you don't feel like cooking. Cooking classes and wine tasting events are open to the public throughout the year!
