Fork it’s located in the middle of downtown Boise not too far from the capital. The median customer age is about 30 years - and it has a wonderful eclectic menu from which to select. Don’t go during the busiest time of evening as service is a little bit slower than some other area restaurants, But worth the wait once it arrives! They have a really good tomato basil soup and yummy rosemary fries.

We finally ventured out during COVID-19 and traveled to Boise from Northern Nevada. We mostly ate room service, but one evening we walked a few blocks from the hotel and stumbled upon Fork. The restaurant has ample outdoor seating. The staff was very courteous, professional, and well equipped under the circumstances. The food was truly outstanding! I had the Red Wine Braised Short Rib which was falling off the bone and served to perfection. My husband, who is a very picky eater, had the Sirloin Strip Steak, and finished every bite! Definitely worth every calorie consumed.

Fabulous food and service and atmosphere. I really enjoyed the trout and my husband loved his hearty salad. Because meat came with the salad and he didn’t want meet they offered him extra veggies. And we indulged in an appetizer of grilled cheese mini bites with a thick tomato fondu. Yummmm. We will come back to Boise just to go here!

Came in tonight for dinner just me and my husband. Had been excited to try this place out for quite a few months, but it's been way over hyped. While we were there there was maybe 10 other tables of people due to Covid. Took us 45 minutes just to get our appetisers which was for 4 lamb legs, Which were extremely overcooked and tough on their hot platter. Followed by our main course less than 2 minutes later. Obviously our server wasn't paying attention or the cooks were not trying to coordinate . My tomato soup was cold and my ham sandwich and grilled cheese very bland and dry. My husband's Burger was decent but it really couldn't make up for the overall experience even though our server was decent. Can't say I will be back again

We were passing through town and came to The Fork because of the reviews but we were disappointed. As we just spent the holidays with family and the sinful holiday season, we we’re trying to be careful on our journey home. We ordered what we thought were more healthy choices, we were saddened to not love any of our dishes. The cauliflower appetizer was ginormous and so rich in butter, we hardly touched it. The mushroom/polenta appetizer was the same, extremely rich with butter, oil, whipping cream and whatever else they added….we feel uncomfortable. We had the Cuban sandwich to splurge and that was the best. We were dissatisfied in the whole experience and would not stop again to the Fork to have a halfway healthy experience!

My husband and I had drinks, appetizers and meals at the Fork. He liked everything he ordered and I was disappointed. We started with the fried asparagus. I thought it was too salty and peppery. It overwhelmed the taste of the asparagus. My husband started with a bourbon drink, Three in the Chamber, and loved it. I ordered a light mojito-type drink that was a bit sour.
We ordered completely different meals. He got the brisket sandwich which was piled high and had cheese and slaw. He enjoyed it. I ordered a Boise Chopped Salad that was supposed to have corn, white cheese, black currants, etc. but it was just a big bowl of greens with very little of anything else, including flavor. I ordered an avacado for a topping, if I didnt order that as an extra, it would have been completely tasteless. The rest was chopped up in such small bits on the salad that you could not really taste the flavors. The service was good, but with our combined meals, the food experience was just okay.

We had 4 people in our party, each had a different cocktail, all were good. We all had different meals as well. In our group we have a DF & GF as well as a garlic allergy. The server was great at making sure we were able to order something that was safe to eat but also that we were excited about eating.
Saw some other items go out to other tables that also looked amazing. It was pretty busy when we arrived but it wasn't too loud. We had reservations but ended up there a little early, we were seated right away which was surprising and nice.

Walking around downtown, we asked several locals where was the best spot to grab a bite. I’m not exaggerating when I say EVERYONE replied: Fork or Matador. Most of the really good restaurants are on North 8th so we were in close proximity and chose to eat at Fork. Outdoor dining of course! I ordered the Urban burger which was a Chuck/brisket blend on a brioche bun, house sauce and cheese. The meal came with rosemary-Parmesan fries which I was very excited about....well...because it’s Idaho! Potatoes!!! The food was excellent and service was top notch. Our waiter was named Tyler so shout out to Tyler! Thanks for the great experience. Downtown Boise is filled with great options and Fork is one of them. My two friends ordered a Cubano and Mahi Tacos and their reviews were very positive!

Not bad - but below expectations. First off: being out of one of only a handful of their main courses before 5pm on a Saturday is no bueno. Rosemary garlic fries lacking both rosemary and garlic flavor, same can be said about the ‘not’ chili and lime chips. Food overall was good, but not matching the price level or expectations set by other reviews. Plus for location and friendly service brings this up from a 2/5 to a 3/5 visit.

Always a solid choice for food and drinks. The menu has many locally sourced items which is always cool to see. The asparagus fries are a must. There is no shortage of healthy options to choose from as well as the classic burger and sammy options. The drinks are amazing especially their whiskey and bourbon cocktails!

Went here for our anniversary, we were seated on time and although the restaurant was busy we were well-attended the whole time. We shared fried brussels sprouts, lamb lollipops with a delicate chimichurri-type sauce, and a huge cubano sandwich; the brussels sprouts and cubano were *very* well fried which made them crunchy but really savory. The lamb chops were small but full of flavor. Wine selection was excellent, with both local wines and California favorites.
The atmosphere throughout was lively and made our celebration that much more spirited.

I’ve been there many times but I’ve never had such a bad experience! I asked the waiter for their regular burger . He advised me to take a featured burger which is a wagyu beef burger that is served with truffle fries . He didn’t mention any brisket that is served on top of the burger . When the burger arrived I had a bite and I didn’t like it at all; I told the waiter that I didn’t like and I only want a regular burger with no brisket . He went for few minutes then a server came with the same burger; they just removed the unchewable brisket ! I are the burger and the fries because I didn’t want to ask for anything since they didn’t replace it! The burger hasn’t any taste of wagyu because I had wagyu beef before. It’s a waste of time and money ! I’ll never go back to this place again!!! One of the worst experience I’ve ever had ! Besides the waiter was very slow in its response to my requests during the visit !

We have ordered food from Fork several times through Door Dash and it was always made to order and delicious. Unfortunately they are no longer available for delivery so on Sunday my daughter and I decided to go there for dinner. I am disabled and let's just start off by saying they are not disability friendly. You can only get into the restaurant by stairs and 75% of their tables are very tall. There were several tables open when we arrived but we were told we would have to sit at one of the locations that have the very tall chairs. When I explained that I was disabled and would not be able to sit in one of those chairs I was told very curtly that I could be put on a waiting list but it would be over a half an hour wait and they do not offer and indoor waiting area. We decided to order to go. We waited at the bar for several minutes and no one so much as evem acknowledged us. We thought perhaps we needed to order through the front desk so we went back there and were informed it had to be ordered through the bar. So once again we were standing at the bar waiting. Finally a lady came to take our order. She was friendly at first but when I requested no bun for my burger she looked at me like no one had ever ordered it that way before and she got rather short with us. After about a 25 minute wait we finally go our food and were on our way. Once we got home I discovered that my well done burger was basically raw in the middle. The asparagus fries were fabulous as always and did not disappoint. My daughter got the grilled cheese with the tomato bisque and she really enjoyed it. I was looking forward to a nice meal at a restaurant that I previously loved and ended up with an experience that left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Hi E8861HCkiberlym, thank you for your review. Fork is handicap friendly, and we do have ramp access into the restaurant so the stairs can be avoided. My apologies that wasn't clear during your visit. The majority of our tables are not hightops, however it likely looks like that from our front door. We also do our best to accommodate guests, unfortunately sometimes that includes a wait time for specific tables.
I will address your concerns with staff and use this review as a learning tool to improve.

Great food, excellent service. Some uniquely crafted cocktails. Farm to table approach. Something as simple as grilled cheese and tomato soup is outstanding. Excellent sourdough bread, high quality cheese, grilled to perfection. Cut into little squares designed for dipping in the homemade and delicious tomato soup. Outdoor seating is enjoyable; misted on hot days. Love Fork!

The temperature was over 100 at 6pm, so we decided to do take out. Online ordering was easy. Fork is downtown with no dedicated parking, so we were glad to see that metered street parking was free for the first 20 minutes. Our food was waiting for us, prepared as we ordered, and delicious. There were plenty of folks dining in the shaded outdoors under the misters.
