We have visited Chandlers before for dinner. This time it was a brief visit to the bar and small appetizer plates. We had tuna tower, oysters Rockefeller and sliders with a few signature cocktails. Both food and drinks were below average. The only reason I...have not put “below average” rating is because of a great server Jessi who saved the show. Most likely I will not go back.More

Thank you for choosing to visit us again! Sounds like something was off that night for you in the lounge. We do respond to our guests during time of service when things are not to your liking and I would be happy to know more...More

Excellent service and food. Great Manhattan. Was looking forward to sharing a ribeye steak with my husband (shouldn't that be the item to order at a well-known steak house?). But he decided on something else and I took advantage of the fresh seafood they fly...in each day. The scallops on truffled potato patties was fabulous as was the Caesar salad. I love the leather booths, ambiance of the bar with blue lighting and of course the entertainment - pianist for a while then the jazz combo that you can enjoy any night of the week. Prices are comparable to any quality restaurant. Highly recommended.More

Have been 3 times now (we live in Michigan) and each time was FANTASTIC!! The wine list is incredible as was all of the food, service, and personalities. We had a nice Pinot noir and split a salad, vegetable, potato, and the large filet. Everything...was PERFECT! No room for dessert but we saw a few go by and they looked delicious. Can’t wait to pass thru Boise again.More

We went to celebrate in late April and sad to say, three of the dishes we ordered weren't up to standards we expected. The service was excellent and ambiance as well. We are usual Ruth Chris diners for special occasions but decided to try Chandlers...for this special event. Party of 4; and three ordered the Miso Cod on my recommendation since I have had this dish many times at Roy's and it was amazing. The taste here was just 'ok' and it was placed on some sort of rice that wasn't appetizing; plus one of the portions of the cod was half the size of the other two - we did not comment to server as sending it back would have spoiled the ambiance and resulted in the other diners eating their meal and one having to wait. Interesting that I do not see this seafood choice on their menu now. We did enjoy the ambiance and service.More

Very elegant lounge, live jazz was light and pleasant, the servers were excellent and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our dinner. We had the Wild Mexican Abalone to start. My dad was a skin diver and brought abalone home regularly for mom...to cook. Their chef prepared the mollusk perfectly. It was so good, we ordered one to freeze and bring to my 94-year-old dad in Oregon. Hubby had the Fishmarket Salad and I had the filet with oscar topping. The filet was cooked as requested, it was tender with a lightly seared exterior. I passed over the Wagyu for the grass-fed as I have been disappointed in the past with the quality of Wagyu beef in fine dining restaurants. I also passed up the surf & turf when I found out the lobster tail was not fresh. Hubby's salad was excellent but the large odd-shaped bowl did not allow the large pieces of lettuce to be cut without the bowl tipping constantly. Our pallet cleanser was a nice touch even though it was offered at the start of our meal instead of between courses. We shared the Butterscotch Crème Brûlée. The hot towel at the end of the meal was also a nice touch. We enjoyed the dining experience but probably won't return. The abalone was excellent, but for the total price of our dinner, it was atmosphere and extravagant service over extraordinary food.More

Thank you for choosing Chandlers for your fine dining experience. We do pride ourselves on the the experience as a whole, not just our menu....however, it does sound like the palette cleanser you described is actually the amuse bouche, which is meant to be at...More

Absolutely the best service! Bodie made my mom and I feel special from the moment we sat down. Our starter which we split was the beet salad. The flavors were wonderful and the whipped goat cheese was so good. Both of us ordered to Delmonico...steak was perfectly cooked to order. For a side we selected the mushrooms. They were sautéed to perfection. To top off the dinner we had the chocolate soufflé. The whipped cream had an orange flavor which accented the chocolate soufflé perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

We've been in Boise for 20 years and this was our first visit to Chandlers. We've heard all about it for years but after many botched recommendations to other "fantastic" restaurants, we had average expectations. But were we ever wowed! We decided to try lunch...with the Easter special menu for $65.00 per person. It was worth every penny and we would have paid 2x that. There was good selection that included an appetizer, soup or salad, main course, and dessert. The crab cake was perfectly prepared with minor breading and a robust flavor. The lobster bisque was rich and satisfying, and the abundant serving of prime rib was tender, flavorful, and could be cut with the bread knife! The cheesecake was fabulous! Both food and service was above and beyond anything I have experienced in years. The atmosphere is romantic with live background music. I am so proud that we have such an incredible local restaurant here in Boise. I cannot wait to get back to try the full menu!More

Planned quite the special 95th bday party in a private dining room for our grandfather and everything about the preplanning, actual meal and service was perfection. Staff was lovely, food was delicious and we never miss an opportunity to visit here when in Boise.

We've just made our second visit and can't wait to return. The staff at every level is just superb. And, the food items are tasty and presented so well. Steaks are marvelous and the scallops were terrific.

Chandlers always performs. Great seafood and some of the best steaks you can get your hands on. And the staff is always really wonderful to work with. Ryan the sommelier is an excellent person to ask for wine questions.
