The ambiance is good. The menu is sparse. The service was far short of expectations. Coffee filled once in 45 minutes. The food was late 45 minutes after ordering and overdone; the sausage was crispy critters that were not juicy and flavorful. We were told,...frequently, the staff is busy serving others and fulfilling room orders. I guess we won't be back. We felt let down. The website advertisement portrayed a very different picture.More

My husband and I dined there when they had a fixed price menu. The entree choices were very limited & not worth $60.00 /person. My favorite part of the meal was tomato basil soup, my entree(salmon) was without flavor and my orzo was very over...cooked( mushy). The broccolini was just steamed & very crunchy, nothing special. Dessert is usually my favorite, but tonight the chocolate cake part of the roll was exceedingly dry as well as the icing. I think I had about 3 bites. Their wine menu is suitable but very over priced! We will never go back.More

We've eaten at Richards on each of our two stays at The Inn at 500 Capital. The food is amazing and will stay on your mind! The pasta dishes are yummy. The seafood is delicious. My daughter and I ordered room service last night and...it is delivered to your private cubby with no contact. Can't wait for our next visit and meal!More

We really enjoyed our dinner. Had the grilled shrimp with risotto cakes as an appetizer. Black Cod as an entree. Both were excellent. Service was great, tables were distanced, waiters wore masks and gloves. Was very satisfied. They even have free parking, something very few...restaurants downtown offer.More

Food and service were wonderful. Social distance and mask usage good. A bit pricey but worth it. Definitely a go to place.

One of our favorite Boise restaurants. The food is fabulous and the crew from the bartenders to servers to Richard himself are all very friendly and accommodating.

Had octopus and pork belly. These two dishes are difficult to get right. They nailed it. Food was delicious, flavorful and cooked to perfection.

First time there for four of us for dinner before a performance. Everyone's food was really good, and the service was excellent. This won't be our last visit, for sure.

Richard's is a great restaurant on the first floor of a boutique hotel in Boise. It's not huge, very comfortable with a great menu. Service was spectacular, appetizers were varied (we had the goat cheese and fig flatbread, excellent) and the menu offered enough entrees...to hit all palates. Wine list is well thought out and not over the top cost wise. Our server was on it, always there but not overbearing. This is going to be our favorite in the future.More
