I love efried chicken!

We stopped on whim while traveling through Wrens. Cafeteria style, pick up your dinnerware and a tray. Pick a meat and three veggies for the 'dutch plate'. I thought the portions looked small, but was surprised at how quickly they filled me up. The fried chicken was crisp, juicy and very tasty... read more

Food is ok at best. Not a lot of selection unless you are wanting desserts. Salad bar is skimpy, only two or three meats to choose from, not everyone wants chicken and they had chicken three different ways. Not many starches and definitely not enough vegetables to choose from. Waitress paid little attention to customers, we had to ask twice... More

Reading the reviews that stated the portions were large, I picked the wrong day for large portions. I had the dark meat of chicken and the piece was two or three bites. The side dishes were good. One small piece of chicken and two sides do not add up to a $10.00 meal.

We were travelling through Wrens and noticed the hordes of cars parked at this restaurant. We decided to try it even though it was about 1:15. Upon entering we found ourselves in the bakery part of the building. There were lots of folks carrying out meals, bakery goods and prepared casseroles. The dining part of the place was cafeteria style.... More

Great place to get large servings of good meats and wonderfully seasoned vegetables. Also had salads and desserts. The bakery side of the restaurant was amazing with huge cinnamon rolls, turnovers, breads, and other pastries. Sizes of brownies, etc. we're huge!

We drove past this little restaurant on our way to Tybee Island, Georgia. So glad we decided to stop for lunch! As you walk through the bakery, you enter the buffet portion of the restaurant. They offer a choice of 3 or 4 meats a day, then you can choose 3 sides and/or a dessert. Oh my gosh, the food... More

We walked in and had no idea you ordered your food from a cafeteria line. No big problem, we found our way from the bakery into the dinning room but we were just not prepared for this style of dinning. The pros: Amazing great fried chicken and sides. There are other meat options depending on the day but they always... More

The food is served cafeteria style, and is an excellent version of Southern cooking without the excess fat you used to find. Really good vegetables and excellent shredded beef. The choices are a little limited; but we had no trouble finding things we like: beef over mashed potatoes with collards for me, fried chicken, potatoes and green beans for the... More

one of my favorite stops - the fresh bread, pies, cakes, pastries, sour cream pound cake, - dangerous place to stop if you are on a diet

We stopped on the way to the beach and picked up some bakery items. Oh my goodness - absolutely terrific! Wish we had been hungry so we could have eaten lunch. I have stopped with girlfriends and bought casseroles for our girls weekend. They were also amazing.
