Wonderful restaurant with great drinks, food, and service. I was able to try wines I would have never thought to try before- the tampernillo was AMAZING with everything we ate. Staff was super helpful with helping me choose what to eat and took proper care...to avoid my allergies. The carrot cake whoopie pie was the cherry on top of a great date night. We are going to come back for a wine dinner soon :)More

I really really want to love this place. The staff (Kara) is super and the wines are delicious. The food, however, begs for answers. The smoked salmon hummus was very interesting. The salmon was great, the hummus needed salt and eaten separately they were good,...together they were nasty. Make a smoked salmon dish, and make a hummus dish, period. The pork belly was tasty but way too expensive for what you get, and what's up with the rice in that dish? The chicken stuffed peppers were good. The portobello lasagne was tasty and priced well. The steak was good, but again, the fingerling potatoes were just dry and the broccolini tasted like charred olive oil. A couple tweaks to the menu and this could easily be a top restaurant in the area, but for now, it's just an expensive mistake.More

We came here for a whisky tasting. We had dinner before. It was a very pleasant surprise for the high quality food.

We have wanted to try Rootstock and Vine for a while now so invited friends to join us Saturday night. We live in the neighborhood so want to support local businesses. We found it extremely noisy and very hard to carry on a conversation with...our friends. The guys ordered beer, my husband prefers Reformation beer but only one was offered, he is not an IPA fan. Our friend ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio which she had to return. It was pink in color and quite heavy for that kind of wine, not light and crisp. Her replacement glass was much better. I ordered the Baba Ganoush with pita fort the table. It was tasteless and the “pita” was cold, dry and thick. The guys both ordered the lamb meatballs which were very hot and spicy which would have been nice to know before ordering. They also had the shrimp tacos. My girlfriend ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which she felt was average. I had the mussels which were good, not great. The broth could have been tastier. Our husbands 2 orders came out together and they were done for at least 10 minutes and my girlfriend and my orders still hadn’t come out. We finally asked and then they were brought out to us. When a young woman came to ask how everything was my husband tried to tell her that we didn’t feel that was the way it should be served, instead of listening, she gave us a talk on what tapas are!! We know what they are... I have never written a negative review on TripAdvisor before but I felt this one warranted this review. My husband and I were a bit embarrassed that we invited our friends from Alpharetta to join us.More

They have good music, helpful staff and a good selection of wines etc as long as you drink down stairs. The roof top is fun but less choice of booze. Awesome staff, great atmosphere, good location.More

Finally got around to trying this place out and was pleasantly surprised! There is an emphasis on wine but they also have a great selection of spirits as well. We had a couple of plates and one was octopus on a bed of farro with...teardrop peppers which was excellent; I now want teardrop peppers with everything. Really liked the interior space very open, the staff was very friendly and the service was great. Excellent addition to the downtown area and we will definitely return soon.More

Wonderfully flavorful tapas selection, most are a small meal by themselves. Everything is good and we tried a lot of the menu. Great cocktail and wine program as well

This was our first dinner experience at Rootstock & Vine in Woodstock, GA. The atmosphere on the rooftop was very nice. The food was severed maybe a little to spread out. The overall experience would have been more solid if several of the tapas had...been served in groups. The quality and flavors were very solid and above average. Pricing was on the higher end. Service was very solid. Explanations for each course would be one of my suggestions. I ordered a flight of three bourbons and it was brought to the table with very little enthusiasm . At $25.00 for a flight the presentation should be upgraded. There are great options to make that experience more special. My recommendation to management. We will definitely be back and I can hopefully give a 5/5 next time.More
