Freaking Awesome!!

Freaking awesome is an understatement! Had the potato soup and the shrimp and grits. Could not get any better! My boyfriend had the steak and it wasn't quite cut right but it still had good flavor.

We went here with friends that live in the area. The restaurant has a very nice ambience to it, and "nice" prices to go with the ambience. This is not an issue, I have no qualms with paying good money for my steak and veggies. However, if you're going to charge this kind of money, the utensils, whisky and wine... More

It was a busy Saturday night -- there were two large parties going on. But the service was very friendly and efficient. And then there was the food. Truly wonderful fried green tomatoes on a bed of grits and cheese followed by pecan crusted chicken. Perfect crab cakes and then fresh grilled shrimp. Really, really good.

My wife and I were taken there by friends on a Wednesday for lunch, admittedly not a happening time in Washington, GA. The Buffet is priced about right, but is limited and small. The food was good, however. My wife got a salad that while good, was a bit pricey for a salad without meat. Another got wings and fries,... More

Three of us came to town to dove hunt last w/e and had reservations for Friday nite. Based on my several previous meals in the JC I recommended the crab cakes for an appetizer and shrimp & grits for an entree. We were not disappointed. On Saturday nite four of us returned and had a second wonderful meal.

Everything in town seems to close on Wednesday PM.. Owner was sitting at table in front of restaurant and offered us a snack even though she was officially closed. We returned for dinner. Food was excellent..Choice of side veggies was very good. Pecan Chicken was great. Single waitress who could really move. Overall a very pleasant experience

We chose this restaurant as the options are extremely limited in this struggling little town. We walked in to see only one other table occupied. It was 6pm. The waitress told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. We checked several tables and discovered they were all sticky as a result of poor lacquering. No table cloths. The armed wooded... More

I am sorry you were not satisfied with your meal. Everything in our restaurant is cooked to order, there are some things that have to be prepared at 4pm each day, example the potatoes are placed in the oven, crab cakes are put together, potato soup and seafood chowder are made. I wish you had asked to speak to me... More

My Shrimp Crepes were the best thing I have ever eaten. The parmesan tomatoes were awesome and the grilled asparagus great. My husband had wonderful fried shrimp, and the other couple with us had the hamburger that was huge and actually was medium rare and grilled salmon that looked wonderful. This place is a must try. If you are within... More

While traveling from Hilton Head, SC to the north Georgia mountains we happened to find ourselves in the beautiful historic small town of Washington, GA at a good time to stop for the night. We were most fortunate to find our way to the Jockey Club for dinner. The steaks (filets) and sides were excellant as was the service! We... More

If you're looking for a little bit more exquisite experience for lunch in Washington, look no further than the Jockey Club. The atmosphere is great and the staff is attentive. We were there on the day of the Tour of Homes and some of the menu items that we asked for were not there - this was likely due to... More

Thank you! Please come back again for lunch or dinner. This was our first Tour of Hones since we purchased the restaurant. We were told by staff it was the busiest in years. We really try to make every dining experience a very pleasant one. Thanks again and come back soon. More
