Lynn greeted us with warm welcome and local stories The crab soup was rich and satisfying and the lemon caper blackened salmon was filled with great flavor. Can't wait to go back for Lynn's hospitality and the delicious experience.

I love seafood, in a big way. MacElwee's had it, but we were finally craving a little meat and potatoes. The menu is large enough to accommodate many tastes, but we were ready for some steak....SO GOOD. You may overlook it because the sign was taken during a recent hurricane, but it REALLY was a great dinner within walking distance... More

three days, 9 restaurants and this by far was not the best. the oysters were small, the shrimp scampi was bland, the fried strawberries were a waste of weight watchers points. now to be fair, the shrimp in the scampi were good and the larger of the small oyster were flavorful. will not come back.

We were in Tybee right after Hurricane Hermine and MacElwee's had lost their outside signage. If we hadn't been with a local, we'd have never known it was a restaurant, which turned out to be a good thing for us on the Sunday night of Labor Day when every place was packed to the gills. We had a lovely dinner,... More

I loved the buffalo fried oysters! My husband had the fried platter and I had the deviled crab. Everything was well seasoned and fried to perfection. The deviled crab was delicious. Will definitely return here on our next trip!

Arriving about 6:30, we were surprised to not wait for a table. Within minutes, there was a wait, and it would have been worth the wait! We've been here twice and the food is fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The power went out as Tropical Storm Hermine arrived. Management was great. Flashlights arrived. Every table was cared for and somehow served... More

We took a chance our first night on Tybee Island at MacElwee's, and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. We would go back a second time easily. The shrimp dishes and daily specials were delicious.

The food was decent but price was a little high for the portions. Service was good but it wasn't busy so waitress was very attentive and courteous.

Get the fried pork chop.Seriously. You will be the envy of everyone at your table. Mine fed at least three people. It was absolutely delicious. They get busy towards dinner time, so arrive early to reduce your wait time.
