Larry's just reopened and we so wanted a good meat and 3 meal. What a disappointment. Cold canned corn, barely warm hamburger steak, cold day-old cornbread and sweet tea that the sweet was left out. The pinto beans were warm, but it was mostly liquid....Fried okra was just mush, fried green tomatoes were cold and mashed potatoes barely eatable. This was our experience on our first visit before Covid. We won't give them a third strike. This time was enough.More

We have eaten here many times. Great food. Highly recommend the chicken tenders. I would call before coming if traveling, to make sure they are open. They are typically opened Thursday through Sunday, but they occasionally close for other reasons. Staff is really nice, restaurant...is always nice and clean.More
Food was horrible, macaroni and cheese was so watery, they used instant potatoes and did not even practice social distancing people could sit where ever no employees were wearing masks and overall it was way too pricey for horrible food.
Home cooking at its finest. Everything is from scratch. Locally sourced when possible. Fresh corn on the cob they shuck there. Fresh cut okra. Ribs are delicious. Fried whole catfish are superb. I could go on and on or you could go see for yourself...and understand how long it would take to truly write a full review of how great this place it. This place is like a lot of restaurants were in years past. Fresh vegetables cooked like grandma cooked. Today they also had bbq ribs, roasted chicken, hamburger patties in gravy, chicken tenders and more. Great desserts. It is a buffet.
We found this place to be very good. It is a buffet with home cooking so if you do not live either then this is not your place. Overall, the service was great, the people were really nice and the food was good.
I have eaten in restaurants all over America and I would have to say this was one of the worst places I have ever eaten in, the food was not fit for human consumption when I was growing up on Sand Mountain I fed our...Hogs better food than you will get in this place, and the real disgrace is they get your money when you come in the door before you figure out the slop they serve is not fit to eat and the ridiclous price they charge for this garbage should be a crime, I paid almost $35.00 for two people, we took about 3 bites and almost threw up, as we were leaving the place I noticed about 3-4 other tables where people had left almost full plates of un-eaten food. I would never eat in this place again if they paid me $35.00.More
My wife and I were warmly greeted at the door by the restaurant owner Larry! Larry told us we peel our potatoes by hand, everything is made from scratch, our fried green tomatoes are all hand battered here. Needless to say this is real southern...cooking at its best! Real mashed potatoes, real hand breaded fried okra, fresh baked biscuits. Wow what a treat, and at a very fair and reasonable price. If you are anywhere near here you need to go in and eat....The best Chicken and Dumplings I have EVER had. Everything is home cooked. The service is amazing as well. You will not be disappointed!
After driving for hours we stopped here because our little guy couldn’t handle the car seat anymore What a great place for a meal! Baby back ribs, catfish, corn on the cob, baked beans, watermelon, tomatoes fresh from the vine outside, and that’s not even...half of the choice!!! My husband wanted peach cobbler, which of course they had but the great surprise for me was the rice pudding. My grandmother used the make this Southern delicacy and finding rice pudding of any quality is rare these days but finding rice pudding that is not too sweet and creamy smooth is almost a gift from heaven for this Southern country girl. This is a country style buffet place but very clean. The foods were not like most mass food service places. It was fresh and you could easily tell it was fresh made, hand made daily - probably multiple times per day. It could be considered...a little pricey but quality of food is there!!More
Great buffet featuring down home cooking. There are plenty of choices and you won’t go home hungry. There’s a reduced rate for small children and prices vary from lunch to dinner. A great place to dine.
