While the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant, it was patronized primarily for their bar/lounge, which adjoins the restaurant. The menu was very limited and offered an interesting/unusual combination of dishes and sides. The actual menu items have exotic fancy descriptions associated with...them. Several in our party had the ‘chicken’, which was a grilled thigh, and was bland, fatty and rubbery. Portions were scanty and this is definitely not a place to come if you’re expecting a hearty meat-and-potatoes kind of meal.More

Had a really good meal tonight. Get the bread as an appetizer come on Wednesday for 1/2 off bottles of wine. Definitely a place I'll be back.

The flavor of the food didn’t justify the overpriced menu. The food was just meh. Our waiter was not especially friendly or accommodating. The cocktails were anything but impressive - mine was the Classic Daiquiri (it tasted like a Cayman Jack margarita) and it was...okay, but my two friends ordered the Rose City and the Torpedo and both were disgusting. The decor was very weird and unsettling - just like the restaurant’s website.More

Looking for a comfortable place to dine, that has excellent food, great cocktails and craft beers. Our server could not have been nicer and explained the menu items in a delicious way. The charcuterie is wonderful. The entrees were all excellent. Don’t ignore the sides,...they are unique and add so much to the enjoyment. Great to share. Highly recommend Liam’s.More

My fiance & I enjoyed a delicious dinner here while visiting for the 4th of July holiday weekend. It was easy to call in for a reservation & we appreciated their dining room arrangement to allow for social distancing. The servers were also very attentive...and all wearing masks. I loved the specialty cocktail I had ordered- just wish I could remember what it was called! The creative fish entree I ordered was perfectly portioned, and they did a great job accommodating my need for gluten-free options.More

In town for a meeting of 20+ people and this was the joint dinner before the next day meeting. The location is in a very nice old building with an well attended bar and main area plus a large room for groups. The waiters handled...the large group very well and the meals came very promptly. I had the pork loin which was OK but a little dry. I choose brussel sprouts for the side and they were very good. Almost all the food is locally grown. It is a little pricey but if you want to try local, it is a good option.More

We stayed at a local B&B. Before we arrived, we did an online search for local restaurants. Liam's looked promising. When we got to our B&B, the owner mentioned it as well. It was a short walk away, which was handy, too. We stopped in around...5 on a Friday and sat at the bar. We ordered drinks and scanned the menu. First of all, the staff is amazing. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We watched them create some very interesting cocktails with a skill level I have not seen elsewhere. (Smoked old fashion, anyone?) The charcuterie board selection is very good. There is an eclectic clientele and we soon had a great conversation with a couple from Tallahassee who were also visiting. Nearby is another popular dining spot but the line outside to wait was discouraging, so on Saturday, we returned to Liam's. The craft beer selection is impressive. The corn and blue crab curry dish was tasty as could be, but we wondered, was it supposed to be hot? Ours was luke warm to cool. We emptied the bowls anyway. The cheeses here are delectable. The atmosphere is terrific. The staff deserves mentioning. The lovely woman who greeted us as we entered was nice. Sorry that I did not get her name. Bruce and Graham were professional and sharp. Thomasville has many great attractions. Do not miss this one. We will be back.More

This restaurant has the best food and choices of the area! Great atmosphere, too. It is beautiful inside with all the old wood and casually elegant decor. We have eaten there several times in the past few months and it is always a special night....Everything is fresh, expertly paired and prepared, and is just a treat for the tastebuds. If you have never been to Liam's or haven't been in awhile, make a reservation soon and come and enjoy!!More
