Located in the historic town of Thomasville, Georgia, JONAH'S offers delicious seafood and more made fresh daily and served in a family-friendly, alcohol-free environment. JONAH'S "fish & grits" is a refined twist on the English concept of "fish & chips" married with the United States' southern tradition, flair, and hospitality.

Excellent meal and service, incredible really. I had dinner here with my daughter from New Orleans and my husband and I from Atlanta, we all declared it was our best meal in years. Flavors, textures, and presentation were spot on. We decided we have to...drive by this town again to feast on the fabulous food served here.More
Jonah’s Fish & Grits Lived up to its reputation! Jonah’s was one of the 2 restaurants we wanted to go to on our 2 night stop in Thomasville, Georgia. (The other being SASS. We also had a great tour of Pebble Hill Plantation) Jonah’s is...rated number One out of 88 restaurants and has an Awesome seafood menu, but there are other offerings too. We loved the Blackened Grouper Tasso and the Grilled Shrimp & Scallops! Jonah’s does not serve alcohol because of their strong Christian Faith, (google their story) but we didn’t mind because the food was so good. The waitresses and staff were Very Friendly and efficient. I’m not usually a fan of collard greens but Jonah’s were fantastic. Get there early to get a seat because they don’t take reservations and there could be a line. Best to get there at 5:00 when they open. Skip lunch and go hungry, you will love it.More
I had the opportunity to eat at Jonah's during an evening meal with my family, and then again on a food tour in the morning. Both times were simply magnificent! The food was gorgeous...shrimp and grits, grouper, chicken, slaw, hushpuppies...each bite was better than the...last. The staff and servers were super kind and friendly...we left happy and STUFFED. My father agreed it was the best seafood of our entire trip (including the entire state of Florida), and my son pronounced to the hostess that it was "his favorite restaurant EVER."More
This is the place to BE in Thomasville when it comes to seafood. I love the fires green tomatoes and the shrimp and grits; those are the only two things I get when I’m there. My mom loves the salmon. They also give you really...good hush puppies as well. The parking is typical of a downtown; you may not be able to find a spot in the front, but they have lots on the off streets. Be prepared to wait for a while if you come during prime time hours (11am-1:30pm) on the weekend. The place is really small as well. Definitely recommend!More
We drove over to visit Thomasville from Tifton and walked straight into Jonah’s for a bite. We loved the atmosphere and the reason the owner came up with the name. Our waiter was a righteous dude hailing from the west coast as we shared that...we lived in Portland, on west coast. We devoured the hush puppy starters, grits and spicy shrimp, and pasta dish which were all mouth watering. We ended with the key lime pie which was a sublime treat as we realized we had hit our limit. The atmosphere is welcoming and yes the southern hospitality is in full display. This was the highlight of our “Rose City” day trip and we spent the rest of the day enjoying the sights of the town. We would drive back through Thomasville from Georgia coast to visit again and think its possible to see Jonah’s one day expand to other South Georgia towns! Overall a great way to start the day in Thomasville!More
Stopped in for lunch while visiting Thomasville - easy 10/15 minute wait to get a table. This place is a local hangout as well as welcoming tourists! The server was a bit slow getting our order but ... food was out before we finished those...delectable hush puppies that are such a rave! The Classic Shrimp&Grits do not disappoint flavorful, generous portion and I enjoyed the vegetables underneath (decided that’s what eases our conscience to it being extremely healthy 😉), the Greek Salad was also generous and fresh.More
The week earlier our meals were excellent... Shrimp and Grits and Gingercrusted salmon... So good we went back the next week... Ordered Shrimp and Grits and the Grilled Trio... Oophs... The Chef went wild with the salt shaker... Even the side order of spinach was...too salty... Totally different from the food a week earlier... We may have been the only ones that day that had food that was too salty... Probably will not return real soon but if they can do it like our first visit we will go back... It really is a great place to relax while having dinner... And the staff are excellent... When our salt levels go down we'll be back... No harm done... p.s. Thomasville is one of the friendliest towns you will ever visit... I promise you that!!!More
