Drove from Annecy to this spot high above the lake (paragliders swoop over the top of the restaurant) and had a lovely lunch sitting out on the balcony with stunning views of the lake and the mountains.
Service was helpful (our French is pretty awful)...and food was enjoyable. Worth the rather hairy driveMore
One of the best restaurant views around Annecy. You get a panorama from 1000 m above the lake, from most tables on the outside terrace.
For an added attraction, you see parasails flying above your head.
This is a nice and pleasant restaurant located at the top of the mountain near the paragliding launch site.
The paragliding site was closed and all the other places on the top of the mountain were closed, so we came to this restaurant, the only...one that was open.
We arrived at noon. We were not hungry so we just ordered hot coffee / hot chocolate.
Everything was very tasty and we were impressed by the nice staff and the excellent service, especially the girl with the beautiful eyes.More
Well worth the winding drive up to the top of Col de Forclaz to this little chalet which boasts amazing views of the lake and mountains. So peaceful apart from the tinkling cow bells. The terrace only had a few people having coffee but we...asked if we could have lunch and we warmly welcomed. We had the burger with a mushroom sauce, frites and salad. Very tasty. Nice tartan fabric on the walls inside.More
Lovely situation with panoramic views of Annecy and Doussard. We chose this restaurant to get away from the more congested establishments at Col de la Forclaz. Unfortunately we found it was quiet for a reason; the service is glacial in speed, the menu is minimalist....If you want an undisturbed drink with beautiful views and a gentle thermal breeze, this is the place for you. If you actually want to eat; try plan “b”.More
The terasse was empty but we were told that we could not sit where we wanted. We were served coffee and when we wanted to know why we could not sit somewhere else where we could better see the lake an elder man came and...told us in an aggressive way that we should buzz off and that there are other places on earth where we could go.If this is French hospitality there is something wrong in the industry.More
