Took the family to enjoy snow mountain, it was the only attraction open, everything else was closed no inside playground, the two outdoor playgrounds were closed, the train was not running, most of the concessions were closed and the staff was bare minimum; even the snowball throwing attraction was closed. The "snow" staff that was working was adequate at best... More

We are fortunate to live close to the park. Preferred place are the Bird Sanctuary, Indian Island and down by the lake next to the Carillon. There is a huge variety of things to do for all ages. Highly recommended.

I bike, hike, jog, and Kayak at Stone Mountain Park 4 to 5 days a week. It is an excellent place to exercise and beautiful. The Lazer show and activities are fun too. I love Stone Mountain Park.

Ive been coming here since I was little. You can spend the whole day here in warmer weather. There's a playground and barn for the kids. Ride the ducks, lots of great restaurants and pincic areas. Tons of green space and even a hotel on site. The lasershow is really entertaining and they also have a train and a skylift.... More

We live about three miles from the gate, so we go there often just to walk. An annual pass makes sense if you plan to visit throughout the year. The five-mile loop around the base is very popular, so at times it is better to take one of the other trails through the woods. Pick up a trail map when... More

The views from the top of the mountain were amazing. Not a whole lot to do up there except for sightseeing the trees below. A nice view of the Atlanta skyline. With the leaves changing it was very pleasant. Next time we will probably hike down instead of riding the sky car back down.

We love Stone Mountain so much we always get an annual membership for the whole family. My daughter and her family are all athletes, so they love climbing the mountain. My husband and I prefer the Skyline ride up to the top and wait for them to join us. The Stone Mountain Carving is well worth the trip. Plan your... More

My husband, twin daughters, and I hike the mountain every time we visit Stone Mountain. Our kids were 7 the first time we climbed. I would not climb with little ones, nor would I plan to carry anything or anyone other than a water bottle. Parts of the trail are shaded, but it's very hot in the summer. Plan to... More

If you're a Scot or you love Celtic gatherings, this is a terrific show. Stone Mountain Park is a beautiful location, and the Scottish Games was a terrific event.

If you're a fan of hiking with your family, this is the place! It is easy enough for those who aren't in the best physical shape, but hard/long enough for those wanting a workout. We have come here several times as a family.. and when relatives come to town this is one of the things we make sure to do... More
