They were short handed the night we visited, but business was light and our party of ten agreed that they handled our service well. The entrees were numerous and ranged from filet to seafood to chicken fingers. Most entrees came with 2 sides and helpings were generous. Prices were on par with others we visited in the area. Definitely worth... More

My family always brings me here when I visit them. This last visit was the best - fried okra that was fabulous, a rib eye that was the best I have had in a restaurant in quite a while and yummy Mac and cheese. A lot of locals are regulars but tourists find it too. I want more of the... More

I hate doing this, but a large part of the value of sites like TripAdvisor is honest assessment, and my honest assessment of this place is: how in the heck do they manage to stay in business? I can only imagine that they depend on the support of a core group of regulars who simply don't know any better. After... More

I had a gift shop down the street from Wells Cargo Cafe. Lunch was pretty much always bought here. My favorite ~ Turkey and Swiss on a Croissant Roll and a side of Waldorf Salad ~ YUM! The Minestrone Soup is awesome too. All meals are made from scratch. The owners and the employee family are sooo nice! Occasionally, we... More

We were part of a group of 10-12 people and were late leaving a meeting. We called and advised the owner we were coming so she held open just for our group. The good was excellent, large portions, cooked correctly and served in a reasonable time. The home style thick cut fries are wonderful. We will make this little hidden... More

You have to get to know the owners and they wont forget you. The food is exceptional and in large portions. They do get busy so you have to be patient its a small quaint place with great antique deco. It is pricey but well worth it.

Wells Cargo is an intimate, small restaurant (maybe 12 tables) on Main Street in the Village of Stone Mountain. Across the street is ample parking. Soft candlelight supplies romantic ambiance; antiques supply decor. The food is excellent! Open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday, each day has a special board including fish, meat, and pasta entrees. Their regular menu features finger... More
