After hearing all the hype for months, the lady and I finally decided to take our appetite on a Friday night to Coconut Thai. After walking in, you feel as if you've completely left Statesboro. The dim lightening and uniquely decorated walls make for a pleasant date night atmosphere. The basil beef was salty, sweet and spicy just I had... More

This is my favorite restaurant in Statesboro!!! I love the pineapple with rice, cashews, various meats and plum sauce.

I decided to give Coconut a shot, after I finished up classes for the day, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp, Carrot Soup, and Chao-Lay. The coconut inside the coconut shrimp batter was not heavily pronounced (if you're familiar with the Outback's Coconut Shrimp -- that's my benchmark for "heavily pronounced") and the plum sauce offered... This place is authentic Thai with a great choice of items and everything I've tried in a dozen visits is great. Be sure to get the apple if she has any left. Also, the chef is outstanding.

My husband and I go there every couple of months for date night. It is a nice restaurant without being really pricey. The servers are always friendly and knowledgable. They are always happy to help guests find a good option for them, even if they have never had Thai before. They are willing to make any substitutions and really want... More

Coconut Thai is a local favorite with a varied menu of Thai classics, as well as a build your own curry option. I always get the soft shell crab when possible, because it's always cooked perfectly. This is a great place for a date or special occasion, but not terribly expensive.

We called ahead on a Friday night, just in case, and were told we'd have no problem being seated at 8 pm. It was just around the corner from our Days Inn; nice to walk there. Unpretentious strip mall entry/exterior, but pretty interior. Staff was welcoming, there were only a couple of tables left, one of which was ours. Our... More

My wife and I love this place. The panang curry is awesome, but the few times we order something else it's great too. And if they ever have a Fuji apple for dessert, buy two.

For a small town this is descent Thai food. I especially love their Panang Curry. I also love their Masaman Curry. I'm grateful because they offer brown rice.
