Service was vgood, however the food is not fulfill our expectation regard of lahmacun, Iskender, Adana and Lamb Kebab. All of them were really bad and we would not recommend anyone for Turkish style cuisine. We do not have a recommendation what should be eaten...so far what we are.More
After reading about this pizza joint on TripAdvisor, I decided to give it a try. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, though! For starters, it's definitely NOT a New York-style pizzeria. The crust was much too thick (although I didn't mind). Just know what...to expect! The menu was MUCH more than just pizza/Italian, though! There was a large selection of Mediterranean and Turkish food on offer. The staff were extremely friendly and the place was spotlessly clean. I wish the music had been a bit quieter (it was pretty techno-y and not at all calming as I ate my lunch). I also wish they had Coke products (instead of Pepsi). These are just personal preferences, though. The 12" pizza is a good deal.More
Stopped in on a flyer. Wanted to stay local (Sandy Springs) and try something new. Location was/is questionable and ambiance is meh. Was not crowded (sometimes is a warning sign) and service was, well matched the ambiance. But overall the food was good and portion...sizes were big. Ordered a calzone that ended up being enough for two. Also had shrimp pasta. Excellent sauce texture (if you like a lot of sauce). Also had a gyro sandwich. Large and plentiful but taste was a bit above average. Not bad but I've had better at traditional Greek restaurants. Overall, I expect we will be back.More
Years ago when our son was a patient at Scottish Rite Hospital, we would drop in for pizza or get some to take back to his room during long hospital stays. We were back visiting the area and decided to try it out for old...times sake and what a treat it was. My husband and I started off with salads that were ice cold, fresh and full of yummy things. We met up with other family and wound up ordering pizza, pasta with meat sauce and a calzone (which was the biggest one I've ever seen). All of it was fresh, hot and delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, although they didn't know it was a nostalgic trip for us. All in all we spent a couple of hours at the restaurant and felt welcome and well treated throughout. So glad we were able to add it to our list of places to visit whenever we're in town.More
We were given a flyer for Il Forno @ our hotel. It was too late to order that night so we decided to hit it up for lunch the next day. We were SO glad that we did.
My friend and I got Garlic Knots...which were the biggest that I have ever seen. They were delicious. I got a Calzone that was so big, I could not believe it when it came to the table. My friend got something, I cant remember what it was called, it was in the shape of a boat and had pizza toppings on it. She loved it.
Service was fast and friendly. I wish there was an Il forno where I live. I will for sure go back if I am in the area!More
From the outside, Il Forno doesn't look like much. Inside, the setting is casual with a TV on one of the walls. However, the food here is really good. Besides pizza and pasta, they have a large offering of Mediterranean/Turkish wraps and entrees. Our group...ordered the Adana Durum wrap, the Kusbadi Pide (like a bread boat filled with lamb), the calzone, Greek salad and the hot appetizer platter (with 4 meats). Everything was delicious and we will return. A kids menu and beer and wine are also offered.More
We ordered the one with all the meats, dont know if I would have like the one plain with cheese. While we were eating there, they started to set up tables to play poker. That was kind of weird, but I guess the owners and...the older players that were coming in on cue enjoy that. I just don't think it's appropriate to gamble in front of kids, though.More
We love Il Forno. We had been here couple of times and every time we were delighted with the food. Pastirma pide is probably the best. Ambience is OK but not great. Service is a little bit slow. But the food is excellent. Order lentil...soup you won't regret. Their meat is always fresh and tastes delicious. Prices are reasonable and they are in between 5-20 dollars.
Try this place and enjoy delicious Turkish food.More
