We had a very nice dinner at Blackwater Grill. Very nice atmosphere, decent service (albeit a tad rushed), and great food. The crab bisque was delicious and the jambalaya and crawfish etoufee were outstanding. Good selection of draft beers. If you like cajun cuisine, give the Blackwater Grill a shot.

Love this place. Ate here twice this trip. The Brunswick stew, cornbread, and Cajun slaw appetizer is fantastic! We thought their Cajun seafood pasta was very good and I loved their trout dish. I discovered the half portion dinners on the second trip- on back of menu. That way we could try more appetizers...

Stopped in for some low country boil and left disappointed. Restaurant was not dirty, but it certainly was not clean either. Low country boil consisted of 6 overdone shrimp, 3 new potatoes, 2 pieces of corn on the cob, and 4 pieces of cheap sausage. All of it was very bland, no spice at all. Service was good. Not going... Everything has a creole flair. During my visit I ordered the special which was the swordfish. It was awesome!! My wife and family loved every bite.

One of a multitude of tourist restaurants that you will visit and never return. The food was satisfactory, but nothing special. The server was friendly, but inattentive. There are to many better places to eat in the area.

We were a large group so we took advantage of the take home Low Country Boil. You have to do the actual boiling at home but the instructions were well stated and easy. The food was wonderful! The service during the phone order and pick up was very personal and polite. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is in a great little shopping area so you can explore before or after your meal. The food is fantastic. The brunswick stew is very tasty. Gluten free options are available. They even bring you gf crackers with the appetizer.

In the past, Blackwater Grill had been a staple on our list of must-eats when visiting to SSI - so much that it's usually the place we eat for our first night on the island. Though the mixed drinks did not disappoint, the food sure did. We had undercooked ravioli for an appetizer. Entrees included bland crab cakes and overcooked... More
