I'm a dessert person when on vacation and in looking at St. Simon restaurants I saw that they are well known for this particular dessert - Chocolate Stuff!! They have 2 sizes and we unwisely chose the big one! WOW! It would actually feed 4,...but the two of us managed to eat most of it! It is a bowl full of warm, decadent, rich, chocolate yumminess topped off with whipped cream! It's like a brownie cobbler I think! If you're a chocoholic, you must try this!!More

Wish i wrote down our server name. He was great. Young man that look he should have been on a California beach. The food was amazing. The portion size is rather big. I had the shrimp and grits and it was prolly the best i...ever had. The bread they give you before the food is rather tasty. They follow covid protocol and we felt fine dining there.More

We had lunch here and it was delicious. Very fresh and hot. My husband asked for a gluten free menu and they had one. He was able to get a blackened catfish prepared very well and a huge baked potato. I had the shrimp and...grits with green beans and broccoli rice casserole. The sides were not needed at all because the main dish was huge and delicious. They also had fresh baked bread. You get a lot for your money here. The server was very good and friendly. They follow covid protocol and we felt fine dining there. We will be back.More

Went today 12/31/20 for a quick lunch with my man. He was on lunch break and service was quick which is a plus. We got crabb stew very thick and full of crab. Pot roast with mash potatoes and squash casserole and also a side...of dirty rice. It was all good. I don't eat much but would love to go back and try a cpl different items.More

We got into St Simons at 3 on Christmas day and Barbara Jeans closed at 4. They were busy but the service and food were excellent. Be hungry when you go because the portions will fill you up.

Wow, doing a great job of social distancing tables, great food, super fast, and good service! Admittedly we were here on a weekday for an early dinner, but the food service was beyond fast food fast! The meal starts with the best breadbasket anywhere, and...makes it hard to finish your entree. ( tip: save the warm pumpkin bread for dessert) The crab cake is what I come here for, and I was not disappointed, just pure crab & seasoning, & no filler. I also recommend the BJ's blue salad, substituted in place of two veggies, absolutely delicious with a citrus dressing. My husband had the fried fish, and the two pieces of fish were so huge, he had to take one "to go". Right in downtown St. Simons, walkable to the lighthouse, all the little shops, and right now, the best view of the salvage operation of the capsized freighter the Golden Ray,right at the end of the street.More

Very much enjoyed a meal here as well as takeout later in the week. Restaurant is practicing social distancing. Iced tea was the best on the island.

I don't believe they take reservations. Just get your name on the list and enjoy shopping at the shops at the pier while you wait!
