Have been going to Grrenwoods for over 15 years, always fresh, consistently delicious from the crisp, warm and buttery cornbread muffins to the shrimp and grits, and best ever fried chicken. Portions are plentiful, but save room for dessert, the tastiest pies - coconut cream, lemon meringue, apple, blackberry, chocolate cream and more, a full 1/4 pie sized "slice". Warm... More

I had heard so much about Greenwood's from various sources over the years that I jumped at the chance to go there when invited by friends. Unfortunately the invitation was the only excitement I had that evening. We were seated in a very overly lighted small room that was crowded and loud. I tried the fish which was overdone and... I love the food, the building, the pie and the wait staff! I love the roasted chicken, the broccoli casserole and the coconut cream pie.

It can get pretty busy at Greenwoods, but we've been coming here for years. Definitely worth the wait - order the fried chicken when you arrive, as it takes some time. Their fish specials are also great - usually served in a white wine burre blanc. And save room for dessert - known for their pies, they don't disappoint.

Charming restaurant with great ambiance. This is like eating at Grandma's house on Sunday. We got seated on a Friday night quickly, food came out promptly and was D E L I C I O U S! Meatloaf grilled for me, chicken pot pie for the wife, a shared piece of coconut pie and we were in food lust!

The restaurant very crowded. there's only one restroom for man and one for women, so you'll have to wait! The menu items are spot on by there's a lot of specials 5 different fish orders. We ordered 4 dishes and not the fried chicken (takes 30 minutes) Shrimp and grits, duck, crab cake and trout fish. It took 45 min...... More

I was there a few years ago with a group of people from Brighton Gardens. We had great service, great food and everyone really enjoyed themselves. I was fortunate to meet Bill then and I was very impressed with him coming up to me and talking with me personally.

I will be honest I have never had a bad meal at Greenwoods. From the Fried Chicken to the Pork Chops to the Shrimp and Grits it's all delicious. But the pie...the pie is what keeps me coming back. They sell them whole or buy the slice and a slice is definitely big enough for 2 people to share. My... More

If you're hungry and you're looking for OK food for a reasonable price Greenwood's is a good choice. Everything we ordered was at least a portion and a half to two portions for reasonable diners. The food was well prepared, although we found the fried green tomatoes lacking and far too few raspberries in the peach-raspberry pie. Service was good,... More

Very disappointed with my latest visit to Greenwoods. Food was bland with little seasoning to speak of, NOT a real southern dish in the place! The only redeeming factor......the pies are still killer. Skip the meal, go straight to dessert!
