Don't come here for atmosphere AT ALL. It's a bit old school. The food was so good though. The catfish was the best and the tarter was good. My mother-in-law didn't like the mashed potatoes but loved the turkey. The slaw tastes similar to KFC's. Think home cooking for sure. Had to wait 15 minutes on the catfish so you... More

These lovely people set us up in a private room and gave us a real taste of Georgia hospitality ! Every dish was great ! Kids and adults all enjoyed their picks ! And, chocolate or banana pudding was the perfect ending to our fun and good meal !

If you're looking for a plate that serves down home 'meat and 3' types of plates then this is the place for you. The décor is quite plain and there's not a single thing hippy or trendy about it. You sit down and you're handy a rather brief menu which you circle (in pencil) your choices from a variety of... More

Everything here is either brown, soggy, or overcooked. I dare you to find one healthy thing here--not what we were looking for at all. If you like southern food or have never tried it--please look elsewhere.

Service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Food delivered quickly and was very good. Great Mac and cheese, BBQ, fried okra, cheese grits, etc. Great old saloon look, very enjoyable. Recommended.

On a recent stop in Rome we gave The Partridge a try. It's hard not to enjoy the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere...seat yourself, ask as many questions as you like, and circle your choices on the paper menu when you are ready to order. My wife went with the turkey and dressing which she said reminded her of family... More

We were looking for a traditional "meat and three" and TA identified the Partridge. We were not disappointed. I love fried chicken, and I could have sworn my grandmother was back there in the kitchen cooking it! When offered dessert, we assumed it would be extra only to learn that it was part of the meal. Normally it would be... More

When in Rome, do as the Romans do! Looking for a good local place for lunch-After hearing that we wanted " to go where the locals go", we found ourselves at The Partridge Restaurant, which has been in business since 1933. The building had once been a movie theatre. Upon entering we were greeted with a " Welcome, how y'all... More

Good Southern style down home cooking in a central downtown location but the service and ambiance are just a little off to me. Seemed to take a long time to get food and there were mistakes. No major complaints just not in my top five Rome restaurants.

I was on an overnight trip to Rome and stayed at the Wyndham. The Partridge actually delivers here. The food was wonderful. Good old fashioned southern food. It was also very convenient to have delivery. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I'm in Rome again.
