long wait for service and long wait for food. Food was not tasty. It was cold and I even saw a guy from the kitchen carrying our food around for a while looking for the waitperson to deliver it or at least tell him which table to go to. he took it back to the kitchen and when our waitperson came... Beautiful location, hard working owners, excellent staff, food standard.. I hope you do not visit in a wheel chair, we are locals, and the people that come here are rude to the older folks and the disable; typical of the Savannah area....

Close to home and delish so we frequent Fish Tales. Love to bring out of town friends to our little town's hidden seafood spot. Always FRESH. Always quick, friendly service. Order an extra plate of hush puppies, trust me. Go early on the weekends because it will be packed! People come in off the water (the restaurant is in the... More

The food was good. From June-August there's a live band once a week. Boats are lined up in the back of the restaurant. The staff is customer focused. Adults tend to enjoy the atmosphere most. I gave it 4 stars instead of five because of the all you can eat baby catfish dinner. Don't get it. The bones are plentiful... More

We drive from Naples Florida to Upstate New York and then back again ( with pets ) and always stop in Richmond Hill Georgia for our first night or our last. Being foodies and on the road it is somewhat difficult to find a place especially off of I95 that is worth reviewing, but we did just that! Fish Tales... More

My wife and I were staying at a hotel in Richmond Hill and usually eat at a local Irish pub but were in the mood for seafood. When I checked a nearby restaurant, Steamers, it had closed permanently. Then I saw one about 10 miles from Interstate 95, Fish Tales and we went there for dinner. The restaurant is kind... More

I'm so glad you and your wife had a great visit. I want to apologize for the extra bread situation. We train our staff to ring up everything to insure we capture all sales properly. Having said that, can assure you if my manager would have known about the request for additional bread, It would not have been an issue.... More

Fun , drinking atmosphere. Food and service are awful. Reminds me of Hooters. Servers are dressed to get increased tips from partying customers. If you are not a drinker, your service just went to zero. Very long wait for the food, when it did arrive it was cold. Even hot, it wouldn't have improved the taste. Their idea of a... More

I'm terribly sorry you had a bad experience. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly restaurant. We only have live music on Thursday nights and close at nine to try and be courteous to our surrounding residence. I am also sorry for your experience and perception of our staff's appearance. We have been open for over seven years and... More

My family and I love going to this restaurant. It has beautiful views of the Ogeechee River, especially at sunset. The food is also very good; I highly recommend the fish sandwich. Fish Tale's is a fantastic local place to have a great meal.

I can always understand when a restaurant is busy and it takes the server a while, I never understand when the server is just incompetent. We called before we went to find out the price of a bucket of oysters. 20 minutes later, we arrived. They were out of oysters. Okay... my daughter-in-law ordered 1 lb. of crab legs. My... More
