Miss Sophie's is sort of a diner inside a museum. It's just off the lobby (no admission charge to eat). Lunch buffet or order from the menu. They dish up items from the buffet for you, cafeteria style. Buffet items vary from day to day....Food was good enough, but nothing to write home about. Open-face meatloaf sandwich (from the menu) was large and filling and not bad in any way; I ate it all, but I would probably try something different next time. If Cracker Barrel is too crowded, Miss Sophie's is a reasonable alternative, at least for lunch. They are both on the same little side street and close together.More

Just wanted a little lunch and instead got a superb example of Southern Cooking. On the advice of our server, we ordered the daily special - all you can eat for $12.50, including homemade dessert. The menu varies every day - but we were glad...we were there today - beef pot roast with veggies, fried chicken, broccoli casserole, green beans, sweet potato crunch, rice, homemade biskits, cornbread, and correct banana pudding - all just right and fresh.More

Two menu-sides of sandwiches plus sides give plenty of choices. Prompt, sit-down service. Moderate prices. A quarter-mile off I-95 and located inside the Mighty Eighth Air Force museum, which I heartily recommend you visit. Turn left at the F4 Phantom fighter plane...

We ordered box lunches to eat after visiting the Mighty Eighth Museum. The Museum reserved us a room for lunch separate from the restaurant. The food was very good! You're able to eat here even without touring the museum.

This is a very nice, tasty, country buffet with daily specials located inside the "Mighty Eighth" Air Museum just off Interstate 95. You do not have to tour the museum to enjoy the delightful country cooking. The meals are freshly prepared daily, and cost about...the same, if not slightly more than a drive through fast food restaurant. It' s worth the trip!Enjoy! Chef GaryMore

We were touring and since I am type 1 diabetic, I had to eat. Did not want to leave the building so went to Miss Sophie's. So tasty, large portions, many selections- I had sweet potato, Corn casserole and Mac and cheese. All were delicious....My husband took 3 other selections. We had large drinks and the entire meal with desert was under $20. Very nice place to eat. People were coming in from outside, not touring the museum, just to eat there.More

Miss Sophie's staff is very friendly and the food is awesome. You can purchase fresh casseroles to bake at home and they are also very good! I would highly recommend a yummy lunch at Miss Sophie's.

If you're visiting the Mighty Eighth Museum, please do not write off Miss Sophie's (the English Pub) as just another museum-ish cafeteria option (burgers, hot dogs in water, cold, pre-made sandwiches). You'll get a great quality meal here. This is sit down dining experience with...very friendly and helpful waitstaff. You order from a menu but you have the option of the cafeteria style meals or prepared dishes. There is an all-you-can-eat option for the cafeteria style. The all you can eat was about $12 dollars and is worth it if you wanted to try both entrees. Some of us got the all-you-can-eat. On that day the entrees were pot roast and fried chicken. Plus a cold pasta salad, a vegetable type casserole, and a peach cobbler and cherry pie desert. I swear it was like eating a home cooked meal. The dishes ordered straight off the menu were excellent too. The price was reasonable for these dishes as well. Here's why places like this get 5 stars in my book. My brother-in-law was eyeing the cherry pie for desert but the person serving said they had just run out. It was disappointing because that cherry pie looked awesome! But if everything is freshly made, you can understand why a restaurant can run out of certain things. Anyway, we're eating our lunch and one of the waitstaff comes over and asks my brother-in-law if he was the one who wanted the cherry pie. She had a piece with her and gave it to him (she had overheard him asking and there was some extra in the back). She then asked the rest of table if they wanted some. It was such a thoughtful (and appreciated) thing to do. I would highly recommend Miss Sophie's. Great food and a great value! Hope this review helps!More

I'm sorry, but you have the wrong business! We are a restaurant in a small town outside of Savannah, Georgia.
