LOTS of fried foods. Not my favorite kind of menu. Would not return to this restaurant. There were others nearby with better menus.

I thought the place was adequate for the location and price. Food was ok but service a little slow. I might eat there again if I'm in town. But not a go to place.

We were skeptical about this place, but it was recommended by the staff at Iris Garden Inn. Location was not the greatest but it was close to the hotel. It has a drive up area for take-out but we ate inside. It seemed very basic with an old fashioned down home feel to it. The place was clean and organized.... More

We went to this restaurant, so I could have seafood. I ordered oysters. We also shared some onion rings. The food was great. The service was okay, but they were slow getting the food to us. The prices were reasonable. I would go here again.

We ate here one time when we lived in Savannah. We never went back. Almost everything on the menu was fried and tasted packaged. Kind of like long John silver's in a larger building. Definitely not our favorite place, but maybe if you ordered the ribs or something not fried it would be ok. We did buy a bottle of... More

I was in the restaurant business and I personally know it's a hard nut to crack. I have NEVER had a bad meal here. I think there's only 3 and there all in the Savannah GA area. We use the one on Pooler exit 104 off Rt. 95. The staff are friendly the price is great. You just can't go... More

I left Savannah 30 years ago but yesterday CH was exactly the same as I remember - terrific fried chicken and BBQ (I stole some from my Dad), great service and sweet tea you only find in GA. The Hilliard family can be proud of a continuing tradition of excellence.

My family ate here a couple of days ago while out shopping. The fried shrimp were good but were obviously frozen and pre-battered. The grilled chicken salad was very good and huge. The Brunswick stew was just a mush. It was obviously recooked or reheated several times. It didn't even have a real taste other than just barbecue. Good Brunswick... More

This looks like an older location, but don't let that dissuade you from visiting. The food is very good and the portions are generous. Try the fried pickles!
