We've been visiting Azul for years and tonight, on Cinco de Mayo, this was the first time the management was not fair. We've always allowed for mistakes by the servers, the food runners, etc, but tonight was ridiculous. On Cinco, they offer a limited menu...where everything is a little more expensive, but that's fine, because they have live music, bouncers, and tents. But when my daughter ordered the Texas fajitas for $19 and was brought the Azul fajitas for $22, I told the food runner to return them for the correct item if we would be charged more, but if he had to throw the Azul fajitas away, she would eat them if he would take $3 off our bill. He agreed and left the incorrect item. When the bill came, the waiter tried talking to the manager and she came to our table and refused to take $3 off of our $82 bill (plus a $28 bar bill) with a total of $110 plus tips. She argued with us that we should have known that he was a food runner and that he can't promise $3 off our bill! How ridiculous... he's not our employee and we didn't train him... but still it was evidently our fault for trying not to have food wasted. Unfortunately, we will never return to Azul and they've lost a regular customer. We used to come on Sundays after church with friends, but when friends want to come, we will direct them to another restaurant. Very sad. All over three dollars. And by the way, they've always had the worst chips ever... they taste burnt. If you want great chips, go to Moe's!More

Our server was competent and friendly. The food was delicious. There were some great items on the menu they other Mexican restaurants don’t have. Chips and salsa are brought to the table with drinks. It was a wonderful experience over all. I really liked the...Street Corn Salad and the fried sweet plantains.More

Excellent drinks. I recommend the KooKoo and the Mojito with Tequila. The food was surprisingly good too. I had the three amigos enchiladas and my husband had the Pacifico enchiladas both were good.

We stopped in on a whim for a late lunch. We've tried several Mexican restaurants in the area, some good, some not so good. Walking in to Azul, we immediately liked the atmosphere. Large bar and lots of seating. The place was very clean and...inviting. We ordered dinner portions of arrachera tacos Mexican style. The plate came with 3 tacos and 2 sides. We both had fried plantains for a side. For the second side, he had fajita salad and I had Mexican street corn salad. The food portions were very large, we could not finish it all. Our server was wonderful, fast and friendly. The prices are for a nice sit down dinner, not your bar and grill or fast food, so expect $20 per person. It was worth every penny and we will return again.More

Ordered a Cadillac margarita, it was so sweet I couldn’t even drink it, I took half a sip. They said it’s their policy to charge for drinks even if their customers aren’t satisfied so I had to order another Cadillac margarita and pay for it....Pretty disappointed. The server was super great and nice, just a bad policy from corporate I’m assuming.More

We used to enjoy this restaurant weekly. However since pandemic, it’s gone downhill. Food is not fresh and waitstaff/ bar staff is rude.

The shredded beef was horrible and I was unable to chew it. The beef was extremely tough and dry. My wife ordered something billed as "sopes" and was unable to finish it due to the food being too tough to cut or chew. When leaving,...I asked to speak to a manager. After several minutes, a young woman calling herself "Jo" came from downstairs. She said that since we had eaten almost half of the entrees, we were going to have to pay for the full meal. She was rude and dismissive, walking away when I was trying to talk to her. This place will NEVER get another penny from us. The parking lot being nearly empty at 1 pm when all businesses around it were full should have clued me in.More

My daughter and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. Mica was our server and she was super friendly. She allowed us plenty of time to check out the extensive menu. My daughter enjoyed the chicken chimichangas. I had the steak taco's (tex mex) style...and was very impressed! The steak was so juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. My only complaint was the menus could have been cleaner.More

I was craving Mexican tonight so my daughter and I decided to head this direction rather than our usual - La Parilla - in Newnan. We've eaten here before & enjoyed it so went back so we could order our favorite - the Choriqueso -...a combination of chorizo sausage and queso dip. This could be a meal in itself! Our server was pleasant and we both ordered some tacos to follow up the dip. They've updated their menu with some really interesting trendy choices so it took us a while. My daughter ordered 2 individual tacos - a steak and a fried chicken finger one. I ordered the plate of 3 "skinny" tacos (you can mix & match so I tried shrimp, steak, and tikka chicken). The skinny tacos come in Romaine lettuce rather than shells but still have the slaw & pico topping with some drizzled sauce. The Plate also provides 2 side dishes of your choice. I tried the Mexican Street Corn, which was very good, and the Black Beans, which were fantastic. The tacos themselves had great flavor but the lettuce was a little tough. I just picked out the meat with my fork - still good. We were so full from the appetizer that we couldn't finish our meals, but it was all tasty. Service was great & the decor here is very cute with painted walls and iron sconces and tile. I'll have to remember to head this way again when craving tacos.More

Picked the right place when we decided on this one. The Pacifico Enchilada's were delicious and so was the Fried ice cream. Loved the free chips and salsa you get on the table and the guacamole we ordered was delicious. Our waiter was also great...and so attentive. This place is huge with a nice decor, beats anything Mexican chain we have in NY and the prices were reasonable.More

I stopped in Saturday afternoon for lunch all by my lonesome and sat at the bar. It’s a really nice looking place with the usual decor, I waited and waited for someone to come over and at least acknowledge me, it was 1:45pm and I...was the only person at the bar. I was ready to walk out when a gal came by and I ordered a bottled beer and a menu. She said she would bring me chips & salsa. Again I waited and waited and finally she came back with cold tasteless chips. The salsa was ok...but again tasteless, no spice what so ever. I ordered 2 tacos al pastor and a side of sweet plantains. The food came out quickly. I asked the food runner for hot sauce...it never came. I had to ask for silverware and finally got that. The tacos were ok, wasn’t authentic. The sweet plantains were very large. Not very sweet. Two guys came in and sat at the bar and ordered draft beers only to have the bar tender tell them bottle beer only because the taps were out of order. Don’t waste your time or money coming here because it’s mismanaged. They obviously don’t care!More

The extreme reviews, good and bad, are unfounded based on my experience this evening. The margaritas are okay. The molcajete was average and not something I would order again; the sauce wasn't very good but the chicken and shrimp were good. Chips were fresh, crispy,...thin; salsa was better than Pace. Guacamole was very good. Service was pleasant and attentive though imperfect: I ordered corn tortillas but received flour and then when I told the server, she said she'd get me some housemate corn tortillas but they never came. Companions enjoyed their mexican style tacos of various types. Same reaction to the enchiladas. I can't believe a reviewer said taco bell would be better but I also can't take seriously the reviews raving about the margaritas. Overall, what I'd expect from a tex-mex chain. Atmosphere is kinda Olive Garden. Four people, 6 house margaritas and a beer, guac and 4 entrees: $107 not including tip.More

To begin, the atmosphere was great I really appreciate it how they reuse their bottles and boxes. Then once the food got to the table everything went downhill. The first salsa taste like barbecue sauce and the second taste like marinara sauce. We had to...check to make sure we were in a Mexican restaurant. The black beans were overcooked and lacked flavor. The street corn was like canned corn with sugar and mayonnaise. The chimichanga lacked flavor and it was smaller than my palm. Needless to say we will not go back again wish we would’ve went to Taco Bell.More
