A great new place in La Crosse Wisconsin

Opening just this week this place has much to recommend a visit. The atmosphere is cheery and bright, the staff are warm and knowledgeable. The menu is evolving, loved the Crawdad (Crayfish) Taco, and Diablo Shrimp Taco. A bit overstuffed for street food but may match local tastes. Street corn was not roasted but tasty. The chips were too hard for dipping. The bartender recommended an excellent tequila, and ventured out to share the label and chat. All in all a fun experience that can only get better.

A worthwhile choice for Mexican food in Fayette County

We had eaten at Azul occasionally when we first moved to the area. However we had eventually gravitated to a couple of other places that were similar and slightly closer. However, as one of those had begun having issues with billing and their liquor license, we opted to branch out and give some other places another try. I never had anything against Azul. The only drawback vs. their local competition was that I usually had more leftovers (for a subsequent lunch) from another place. The food quality here was fine. This is still the case. They also seemed more crowded than at least one competitor (which may indicate that more people like them). But for me personally, it meant that it was harder to get a table here. They do seem to promote their tequila, and though I am not a fan, if you are this might be a basis for choosing them. In all, this is a solid place for Mexican food.

Great drinks good food

Excellent drinks. I recommend the KooKoo and the Mojito with Tequila. The food was surprisingly good too. I had the three amigos enchiladas and my husband had the Pacifico enchiladas both were good.

Surprising Management and the worst chips ever

We've been visiting Azul for years and tonight, on Cinco de Mayo, this was the first time the management was not fair. We've always allowed for mistakes by the servers, the food runners, etc, but tonight was ridiculous. On Cinco, they offer a limited menu where everything is a little more expensive, but that's fine, because they have live music, bouncers, and tents. But when my daughter ordered the Texas fajitas for $19 and was brought the Azul fajitas for $22, I told the food runner to return them for the correct item if we would be charged more, but if he had to throw the Azul fajitas away, she would eat them if he would take $3 off our bill. He agreed and left the incorrect item. When the bill came, the waiter tried talking to the manager and she came to our table and refused to take $3 off of our $82 bill (plus a $28 bar bill) with a total of $110 plus tips. She argued with us that we should have known that he was a food runner and that he can't promise $3 off our bill! How ridiculous... he's not our employee and we didn't train him... but still it was evidently our fault for trying not to have food wasted. Unfortunately, we will never return to Azul and they've lost a regular customer. We used to come on Sundays after church with friends, but when friends want to come, we will direct them to another restaurant. Very sad. All over three dollars. And by the way, they've always had the worst chips ever... they taste burnt. If you want great chips, go to Moe's!

The food was so good, you will not be disappointed

We stopped in on a whim for a late lunch. We've tried several Mexican restaurants in the area, some good, some not so good. Walking in to Azul, we immediately liked the atmosphere. Large bar and lots of seating. The place was very clean and inviting. We ordered dinner portions of arrachera tacos Mexican style. The plate came with 3 tacos and 2 sides. We both had fried plantains for a side. For the second side, he had fajita salad and I had Mexican street corn salad. The food portions were very large, we could not finish it all. Our server was wonderful, fast and friendly. The prices are for a nice sit down dinner, not your bar and grill or fast food, so expect $20 per person. It was worth every penny and we will return again.

Ordered a Cadillac margarita,

Ordered a Cadillac margarita, it was so sweet I couldn’t even drink it, I took half a sip. They said it’s their policy to charge for drinks even if their customers aren’t satisfied so I had to order another Cadillac margarita and pay for it. Pretty disappointed. The server was super great and nice, just a bad policy from corporate I’m assuming.

Customer service ruined the experience

The manager was very rude and condescending when our table asked to have a $36 pitcher of margarita remade. It tasted like water, as though the ice diluted the pre made pitcher. He argued and told our party of four the other customers had not complained. Food was average compared to other Mexican cuisine in the area. Thumbs down.

Great Mexican restaurant with some unique twists items

Our server was competent and friendly. The food was delicious. There were some great items on the menu they other Mexican restaurants don’t have. Chips and salsa are brought to the table with drinks. It was a wonderful experience over all. I really liked the Street Corn Salad and the fried sweet plantains.

Bad Dining Experience

This place is awful. We were seated next to two tables with used dishes and food from previous customers. Server took about 10 minutes to take order. Order finally arrived after 20 minutes. Food was cold. We asked server to reheat beans and rice. She took it away. After 10 minutes she never returned. Bottom line…customer service and food quality at this restaurant is substandard.

Terrible service!

We were seated and had to get our own high chair. Then the couple next to us, you could just see the look on their face. They never got waited on so they got up & left. Then we sat and sat there some more and then we left to. They just looked at us, didn't say anything and picked up the menus from the people who just left. They weren't even busy. This place will be closed soon!

Great tasting food, friendly staff.

We live an hour away so we don’t stop in often, but if we are in the area, we make it a point to stop in. Best Tex-Mex I have ever had! Their salsa is fantastic, and the chile rellano is amazing! Hands down, the best Mexican restaurant on Atlanta’s South side.

This was the WORST experience. Service super slow and the manager was no help. I asked for my check after waiting over 2 hours for my food. My drink never came. I asked the waitress twice about it. The looked more confused that a large party came into the place. They gave me a meal that I didn’t order then did not try to correct it. Just the worst. I’ll never come back nor recommend this place to anyone. Worst food experience in Peachtree City.

HORRIBLE FOOD & RUDE MANAGER

The shredded beef was horrible and I was unable to chew it. The beef was extremely tough and dry. My wife ordered something billed as "sopes" and was unable to finish it due to the food being too tough to cut or chew. When leaving, I asked to speak to a manager. After several minutes, a young woman calling herself "Jo" came from downstairs. She said that since we had eaten almost half of the entrees, we were going to have to pay for the full meal. She was rude and dismissive, walking away when I was trying to talk to her. This place will NEVER get another penny from us. The parking lot being nearly empty at 1 pm when all businesses around it were full should have clued me in.

the best marinated steak

My daughter and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. Mica was our server and she was super friendly. She allowed us plenty of time to check out the extensive menu. My daughter enjoyed the chicken chimichangas. I had the steak taco's (tex mex) style and was very impressed! The steak was so juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. My only complaint was the menus could have been cleaner.
