We absolutely and unequivocally loved Mother's Kitchen! We had baked pork chops (tender, moist, and seasoned just right), Lima beans and collard greens (perfectly seasoned) and tomato and onion salad (an amazing relish-perfect for this plate) and corn muffins (perfectly salty and crumbly and tasty). We got outstanding service. They were super friendly and welcoming and the owner even brought... More

Just plain good down-home cooking! It is as simple as that. BUT, you better get there sooner rather than later.....when the food is gone.....you will be sorry you missed out on such a GREAT meal!!! LOVE this place.....love the food.....love the owners who make it a personal experience! A great little dive off the beaten path!

Wonderful meal at mother's kitchen. Southern cooking and southern hospitality! It is in the alley way, so don't give up when looking for the location.

This place is delicious. Service is phenomenal. It's difficult to find but like any treasure, well worth it once you do. It's behind a Mexican restaurant down an alley. You have to look closely.

Made a point of going here based on other reviews and we were not disappointed. Lovely people and great southern comfort food at a good price. There aren't many places like this left. It is definitely worth checking out.

This place is everything you want in a soul food establishment. Hard to find (so only true fans will be there) affordable, delicious, and no frills. Used to go eat here with friends on our "lunch breaks" in high school. Honestly have no idea what it is like now but I certainly hope they are still going strong!

If you are connected to the local scene and fortunate enough to find this diamond in the alley it may very well be the most genuine southern comfort food in Georgia.

Mother's Kitchen is definitely open for business @ 33 1/2 East Broad St. in Newnan. It's a very small location with a "no frills" atmosphere, but the food and the hugs are worth stopping in for! You walk directly in to a counter where you order a meat and three with or without dessert. The meal is very inexpensive and... More

Tried going there for breakfast this morning and the building is vacant and for lease. I am always sorry to see a local business close. I hope they just moved.

First time visiting restaurant while in New Orleans. Went twice.First visit the wait staff was friendly butsevond visit one guy was a little nasty when we decided to change tables. Food was great both times. Salad was fresh, gumbo was the bomb, fried chicken was on point, and portions were mower than expected.
