Wonderful food and wine selection. Great food, great staff, and top notch quality. The restaurant is small overall but the food is worth the wait. The wait typically is not bad. Atmosphere is elegant but subtle and relaxing. Italian food is top Chef quality and dessert also great. In the little town of McDonough, this is truly a Diamond in... More

Small venue and tastes like your eating at an Italian Sunday dinner every day! My favorite is black pepper pappardelle(wide fettuccine.) It comes with chicken, mushrooms, leeks and a cream sauce that makes you not care if you ever see a scale again!

My daughters and I love Pasta Max. It has all the personality that a local small-town restaurant should have, with a chef statue out front to great you and murals of the square and historical buildings on the walls. Service was friendly and quick. The last time we went, one daughter had the chef salad, which was nothing special, but... More

I love the old building and if you eat early you'll have time to do some shopping downtown McDonough.

We chose Pasta Max for supper after a long day of driving and it was a good choice. It's very casual, with only about a dozen tables, but reservations are not necessary. The menu is primarily pasta, with some standard items, but the ingredients are very fresh and nicely done. My husband's veal Parmesan was tasty -- the pasta was... More
