There weren’t many people there, but service was still slow. (But that’s true everywhere that doesn’t want to pay workers appropriately for this economy.) It took around 30 minutes for our herb breadsticks to come, and they were burnt. Not overdone, burnt. They were charred...on the bottom. At least the ducks appreciated them. The pizza was all right. Decent New York style pizza, but not as good as a thin crust from a chain like Marcos. Definitely not good enough to justify the cost. The views from the riverside outdoor dining area were awesome and the best thing about this place. However, there’s no sign or divider marking the end of this place’s seating and the beginning of the neighboring restaurants’. We thought it was an open patio so we just picked an open table by the water, but the folks at Burra Burra ran us off because we’d accidentally chosen one of their tables. They need some sort of sign or visual distinction of the seating divide. Right now it’s just confusing. In all, not terrible, but nothing to write home about either. There are probably better places to eat in McCaysville.More

We stood at the ordering counter for 20 minutes on a Saturday at 4:30. Three employees looked right at us and looked away. Didnt even say hello. There is supposed to be a salad bar. Not a thing on it. It stood empty. Staff needs...a lesson on how to simply greet someone. Went to Kenny's pizza around the corner and had a delicious pizza in 15 minutes.More

We stood at the counter for 10 minutes and no one talked to us. Also, this is basically a self serve place versus a real sit down restaurant. Disappointed.

Horrible. We waited and hour and a half for our pizza. Then we get it and it is burnt. Definitely not worth the wait.

After a day of loafing we went to Twisted Tomato for a pizza to take home. We ordered a large Bigfoot Supreme. It was bigger than most large pizzas. It was delicious, loaded with all the good stuff and not just a lot of bread...like many places make. This was our first time there but we will definitely order from Twisted Tomato again.More

The wait was a little long but the staff was very nice and the pizza delicious. Love the atmosphere sitting outside on the river. Great place to stop after a day on the river.

Perfect place after a long hard day of walking or rafting. Or just perfect any day of the week. This is absolutely the best pizza place I've ever been to. The pink lemonade hit the spot. This cheesy and creamy fire grilled delicacy is a...one of a kind. With almost pure perfect with the service. The food is top quality. But that wasn't the only thing quality about it, they had a view of a flowing river. With swans and geese floating about. It was one of the most gorgeous views I've ever seen. You can also go fishing nearby which is pretty cool. I say when you are stopping by McCaysville or anywhere near a Twisted Tomato, this is a MUST go-to.More

We tried this pizza restaurant out based on recommendations on here and we were not disappointed. The pizza is fire grilled and the toppings are fresh. The sauce is superb!

Why take an online order, have me pay and tip, only to cancel it 30 minutes later with no explanation and then hold my $65 for 3-5 days?! Worst service ever. Don’t take online order during busy times or at the least don’t charge/hold my...money until you actually start making my order. Terrible service!!!More

We loved the food and the atmosphere. They were very nice. Our group of eight had four different pizzas and they were all amazing. And of course, the view over the river is really pretty. So relaxing.

With it raining our last night there, we decided on movies and pizza. 5 guys, 3 pies, only 4 slices left after ten minutes. Not sauce or cheese heavy. Just a real good pizza. And Heather was a hoot. Definitely a run it back, probably...on the night we get there next time. There will be a next time.More

Very good wood fired pizza with a pleasant view of the river from their covered deck. The pizza crust is excellent! You order inside and they bring the food to your table. Service is quick. They have wine and beer but don't seem to have...draft beer. Warning: their mozzarella "bread sticks" is essentially a full size pizza loaded with cheese and dipping sauce on the side. Enough to fill up two people!More
