Saw this place highlighted on TIk Tok for it's Chicken, read the reviews which were all huge thumbs up. Can the chicken really be this good?? Yes it can be. Superb fried Chicken, moist and flavorful, the right amount of breading, and simply delicious. We...will be back, maybe with a day or two…..More
luten was the culprit for years of health issues. This was my first time returning since then. Upon asking for gluten free options, the cashier guessed at one possible meal choice. When I asked for verification from the kitchen, she came back saying the rice...in the dish was “wheat rice” which confused both she and I. She apologized and we agreed they probably couldn’t accommodate my allergy. She stated that before Covid they had choices but since their menu changed, they could not. It’s strange to me that a restaurant like this- with salad and grilled chicken on the menu would be unknowledgeable and have zero choices for a gluten allergy. But more than anything, any good, modern restaurant should train staff and be able to state clearly upfront without question, if they accommodate food allergens.More
We took a little trip to Marietta Square, and landed at the Local while searching for a place to have lunch. The manager was super friendly, and recommended an off-menu salad that had peaches and other fruit. I added the fried chicken, and my wife...had it with grilled. The salad was downright amazing, it was an perfect blend of fresh fruit and the dressing brought the whole thing together. The fried chicken was extra good, and looking forward to going back to try it on its own. Highly recommended, and there was outdoor seating which was key during Covid-19.More
Great food and very friendly staff. On our way to Florida we stopped for breakfast. The owner came around and was truly interested in making sure our experience was an outstanding.
We also loved the employee's shirts, "God...Family...Fried Chicken.
They have another restaurant nearby called..."Base Camp".
If we were a "local", we would eat here at least weekly.More
Order at the counter, bring food to you, sit, enjoy, leave happy, happy.
Fried Chicken (with fries claimed to be awesome...right!, collards...excellent) I don't even prefer chicken breast but when it's prepared this well, I love it.
Ana's chicken salad pita (fries again), plenty to...eat even if your a big old guy.
We made the trip ~10 minutes off 75 on the way home to FL...worth every minute.
Portions are plenty.
Prices are on Earth (usually not available with "ambience").
Service was very friendly, homey, and helpful.
Glad we don't live nearby...probably wouldn't go anywhere else! That said, the wonder woman drifting around said they do have another and different location/restaurant in the area. Gotta find that and try it next time.More
Met friend there for lunch Monday at 12:30. Due to traffic and parking issues it was more like 1 pm. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. Food very good. The only negative I had was I didn't care for their homemade ranch dressing on the...side salad. I had grilled chicken sandwich. Gulped it down. LOVED IT. Their tea is delicious.More
This is an absolutely awesome place to stop and eat! It’s right on the town square and surrounded by cute shops. They have great service and even better food! We we’re just going through Atlanta and decided to stop somewhere and we’re so happy to...have found this place! We will definitely be stopping every time we go through Atlanta! They’re famous for their chicken and for good reason! You can cut it with a fork and it’s juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. We also got a burger and it was delicious with a little char on the edges!More
