Ready yourself for yummmm

The BLT with fried green tomatoes was terrific! Other people had mac and cheese, the corn (Oh my goodness YES), Breakfast tacos...ALL GREAT. One of our group had the southern breakfast and it was very good but the eggs (even when redone) were WAY overcooked for over medium. In any case it was a terrific. The atmosphere was laid back and easy and our server (I wish I remembered his name was terrific. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I love an establishment where the other servers jump in and deliver food if that server is busy! Keeps the food hot and customers happy. I would love to go back. Location on the square made parking a challenge, but totally worth the effort! Love the local places!

Great Food! Very flavorful.

I ordered the Pimento Cheese Burger. It was great. The Pimento Cheese and the fried green tomato on the burger exploded with flavor. The french fries were great as well -crispy on the outside and soft on the insight with slight seasoning. My wife had the feta cheese quiche and my son had the chicken and bacon sandwich. All of it was good. I had the sweet tea, but it was so-so...then, again, I'm very picky about my southern sweet tea. It's right in the hear of Marietta Square. It's not a tablecloth restaurant. It's a diner/more bar and grille feel...The service is good. Price range per person $16 - $20 (with drink and tax). Bottom line: I'd go back again.

Good food, fun atmosphere

The balsamic burger was phenomenal. It was a large burger with unique, but delicious toppings. We both subbed a house salad for the fries. We asked our waiter if there was an upcharge for substituting, and he said only for the onion rings, he “thought.” However, when we got the bill, there was one for the salads. I feel that the waiter should have known this. Also, we had honey mustard dressing, and I’m not sure there was any honey in it. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and would return.

Not worth the money or time...

Synopsis - Below average food for price; extremely long wait for food; uncaring and misleading staff. We went with a group of 5 to brunch on a Sunday morning. It seemed crowded but there was no wait. Like many service industry places, it was understaffed so that was taken into consideration before leaving a poor review. We were greeted in about ten minutes with water and placed appetizer orders along with mimosas. It took another 15 minutes to get the drinks and the appetizers came out 5 or so minutes after that. We ordered our entrees when the mimosas came out. It took 70 minutes for our 4 dishes to come out. Our server came to us about 20 minutes after we ordered to say that we should be up next. A manager came to us at 55 minutes and said we were next to be plated. 4 more tables went out before our server came back to us to say, "Wow you guys win the award for longest ticket time!". After a total of 70 minutes had passed since we ordered our food it was brought out. Three of us ordered chicken and waffles; I ordered the "Southern Breakfast". My eggs and toast were cool but the grits were warm. Everyone else's food was ok. I tried my fiance's chicken and it was very dry and bland. The manager did come by and said, "I'm guessing the food was worth the wait, right?" I just shook my head as I didn't want to upset that situation more. Overall I would never go back. I would have preferred the server and manager to have been honest about the time or our place in line. The quality of the food was not worth the price and there didn't appear to be any pride in it's preparation. There are so many other options that will provide a much better experience (including next door) that I would suggest this place be avoided.

Dreadful Service, Inedibly Salty

Took an hour to have our order taken. Waiter was hanging out in the bar, kept ignoring our attempts to get his attention. Had to beg someone to go get him to take orders, and then had to beg to have glasses refilled. My husband and I got simple hamburgers. They were so salty it was like they’d dumped a shaker in the ground beef. Others in our group complained about how salty their dinners were, too, and came to the conclusion it would have been in an effort to sell more drinks, only that would have required catching the waiter’s attention. No excuse for the poor service. We went in at 5:30 and only a couple of other tables were occupied. We live within walking distance of this restaurant. With so many other dining options on the Square, they really need to step up their game. We’ll go elsewhere next time.

Delightful experience

Dropped by this place for an early dinner (5:30 ish). We sat outside at one of the many tables and enjoyed eating outside in the fresh air. We were not very hungry and decided to split the salmon, fries and brussels sprouts. The waitress mentioned this to the kitchen so they split the salmon and sides onto two plates for us. We appreciated this gesture so much. The food filled both plates. The food was delicious and practically melted in our mouths. I am not in this area often but will def return when I am.

Great Food - Great Service - Covid Safe!

Visited over the past weekend for my first time and was extremely impressed! First off, the food was amazing! We only tried a few appetizers but will definitely be back for a main dish. The brussel sprouts are to die for! Definitely recommend! We also had the calamari which was cooked perfectly (lightly fried) and the homemade bruschetta was refreshing. The service was beyond amazing! Our server Brandi was both attentive and personable! We also got to briefly meet the owner as she made her rounds to ensure everyone was doing well. Very sweet and hard working woman! lastly, we were relieved to see that the restaurant and staff were both adhering to Covid guidelines. Overall, we had a great experience and will surely be returning! Enjoy!

Went with hubby for an early dinner it was our 1st time here. We sat outside in front of restaurant. Service was great, food was great no complaints. The pimento cheese dip is amazing and it's a huge portion. The owner frequented outside to make sure customers were satisfied and area was neat and clean.

I had the catfish and my husband had the smash burger. Both were so good. I had a lemon drop and the beer selection was great. Service was great as well

Christine was wonderful, very attentive, got everything right. Super friendly. Will definitely go back because of her. Went back later for drinks after a show, Lucas was our server. Not so hot.

Horrible Service

Horrible service - finally left after waiting an hour and a half for food which never came. Waiter checked on us only once during that time, and I when I told him we were leaving, no offer to comp our drinks just said they were seriously understaffed, which was BS.

I enjoy the Social House at least once a week. Consistently good food and service. Gino is the best host/server. Hamburger just went from double patty to a larger single patty but as they are very reliable, I believe you will enjoy whatever you order.

New Owners Have Improved This Place

We had been here under the past ownership and were not impressed. So we heard that new owners had taken over and had good things happening so we stopped in to try it out. I ordered the Pimento BL sandwich which was made with housemade pimento cheese, bacon and mixed greens on Texas toast with a side of beer batter onion rings. Now the sandwich was loaded with bacon but they were skimpy with the pimento cheese. If your lead off with a sandwich that is named 'Pimento' then the star should be pimento cheese. There was barely a dollop. But overall it did have good flavor. The star were the onion rings. Light crispy batter that covered perfectly cooked onion....tasty! My wife had the classic burger which was two griddled patties, american cheese, lettuce, pickles and caramelized onions. She said it was a great tasting burger but that her side of sweet potato fries were over cooked. Overall it was a good meal with a few minor issues that could be easily taken care of. We would recommend that others come and try this place. You may find that you love the way they cook...you never know till you try!

WR Social House was a nice place to take business associates for lunch. We sat outside, weather was great. Some interesting burgers -- good quality meat, nice toppings. Enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. Service was good, and prices were about right.
