My wife and I just relocated to Marietta and noticed they offer live jazz Friday evening 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m and we tried it for the first time last night. What a hidden Jewel! The service was great as well as the food and...the Jazz Ensemble. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returningMore

We have been loyal patrons of House of Ming since its inception. Our fondness for the restaurant was strong during the tenure of its original proprietors. We did experience a period of disappointment during its initial ownership transition. However, the current state of affairs has...truly won us over, with the cuisine now reaching unparalleled heights of excellence and the service demonstrating a level of attentiveness and friendliness that evokes a warm and delightful ambiance. The sushi and sashimi offerings have ascended to a new level of sophistication, boasting impeccably thick slices of fish that exude a sense of upscale refinement. A pivotal figure in this culinary marvel is Chef Kim, a true artist in the realm of culinary creations, particularly when it comes to sushi. It's noteworthy that House of Ming is a family-owned establishment, with Amy, who served us, proudly being the daughter of the accomplished chef. Operating seven days a week from 11 AM until midnight, the restaurant's generous hours have been a godsend for us, given our late work schedule. It's a rare gem to find dining establishments still open by the time our dinner hour rolls around. The ambiance within the establishment is genuinely relaxing, creating an inviting space for patrons to unwind and indulge in their dining experience. While we have thoroughly enjoyed the sushi bar seating, it's worth mentioning that the entire restaurant has undergone a stunning renovation that has elevated its aesthetic appeal. In conclusion, the evolution it has undergone, coupled with its remarkable offerings and inviting atmosphere, has firmly solidified its place as our go-to establishment for culinary delights.More

Tucked away in the corner of the shopping center this is a hidden gem. Not crowded, food is typical and very good. A couple can eat very well for $25.00.

House of Ming came under new management in 2017 (?); unfortunately food quality has declined. I stopped in for lunch and ordered hot & sour soup (watery) and General Tso's chicken (bland). The staff was friendly, but could not make up for mediocre food. There...are better Asian restaurants in the area.More

We were in a mood for some spicy curry and did not want to go out. We found that the House of Ming delivered, so we called up and ordered 3 orders of Shrimp curry. The sauce was watery and the shrimp was mushy. The...veggies had little flavor. A TV dinner would have been better!More

I stopped here for a quick lunch and ordered their hot and sour soup and moo goo gai pan. Awesome!!! I'm a foodie and very nitpicky about things, so I can definitely say that this is a great spot for a quick cheap lunch. Excellent...service too, the ladies there were very friendly and polite.More

This is a well established, family run, family friendly, consistently good restaurant. We have been going here for over a decade and they now have added some Thai dishes to the menu. We have tried a few and all good so far. But we love...the tried and true favorites as well. We go back again and again.More

This was our neighborhood Chinese go to place, for take-out or a casual meal for more years than I can remember. The food while not gourmet was consistent. We dined there last night not knowing there were new owners. Although some of the people in...our party thought the food had improved, I was disappointed. Hopefully, they are just getting used to things and the food will improve. If not, I will need to find a new go-to place!More

Nearly all the good Chinese restaurants in E Cobb have closed, but I thought I would try House of Ming only because it's been in business a long time. Mediocre food at best. Bland, mushy chicken in two different dishes: Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken...with vegetables. Won't repeat this place.More

House of Ming is a wonderful restaurant if your choice is to eat in or carryout. In addition to the great selections the staff is exceptional and make your visit personable. The response time from placing your order is minimal and very properly priced, they...take great pride in serving each customer with up most attention and customer service. The food is delicious and reasonably priced--especially their combination dinners. Portions are big, so I get two meals from one. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, so we allow extra time when we go there.

House of Ming is very average at best. My egg drop soup was not very hot, and the lo-mein was warm but not hot. The best thing I had was their egg roll which was very good. This restaurant could be better if they pay...more attention to the temperature of the food they serve. For me, one time is enough!More
