My wife and I had an unpleasant experience at a seafood restaurant on Canton road in Marietta. I called to inquire about the wait time at Marietta Fish Market since it was the peak time at 7:30 pm this evening (Saturday). I was connected to one of the managers,Liz. I explained in detail about our experience at the other restaurant. She told me to come to her restaurant and to ask for her. We arrived approximately 15 minutes later. My wife walked in and asked for Liz while I was parking the car. She immediately seated us at a booth. She was over the top with exceptional customer service and courtesy. Our waiter was Ron. He was also exceptional!! The food was great and reasonably priced. My wife ordered the shrimp and I ordered the catfish that was cooked to perfection. At the end of the meal I thanked Liz for everything that she did for us. The owner also came over and met me face to face. He was also very polite and courteous. Both of them make Marietta Fish Market worth the trip. From this evening forward my wife and I are forever future customers at MFM. Thank you so much Liz again for everything!!!!

I just visited this place by chance with my family and I really enjoyed it! Kade was our server and he was super accommodating and gave us great suggestions on what to try for our first time here. Everything he suggested was so good. The portions are massive but so delicious. Even after sharing two large appetizers and eating my own large plate of food, I still managed to take home a piece of Oreo cake. We will definitely be back. It was a fantastic experience!

We stopped in for dinner while we were in town and we were definitely impressed! It felt like many of the restaurants I've visited on the coast, not something you'd expect to find while just south of Atlanta. We ordered an appetizer of shrimp in a lemon butter sauce and hush puppies to split. The seasoning was perfect; though I'll admit that the shrimp was overdone. For dinner, we both had to get the Cajun seafood pasta. Again, the shrimp was very overdone, which is why it gets a 4 star review. I'd expect it to be perfectly done from a place that serves only seafood. However, the star of the show absolutely surprised me. You have to try the gumbo!!! The best gumbos I've had were made with love by people who have had years of practice to master it. This one, made in a restaurant nowhere near Louisiana, has really impressed me. Our server told us that it's made in house every day and I believe it! If we ever find our way back to Marietta, I'm stopping in for another bowl!

Took my adult daughter out for lunch because we were in the area. Waiter took forever to even take our drink order. The salads were very bland. Waiter didn’t clear our salad and bread plates until I started stacking them up out of our way. The salmon cakes were edible but barely. My veggies were cold, hers were inedible. The rice pilaf was bland. Waiter barely checked on us. When he asked how everything was, he wasn’t even concerned that I said it was just ok. Menu says salads are $1.95 extra with lunch entrees, he tried to charge me $2.95 each salad. Was not impressed.

Went to this place on a date whom she claimed to be one of her favorite seafood restaurants. Large parking area huge fish tank when entering the restaurant. Not a bad touch. Problems I had were the Oysters, they were small as Hell they gave me one extra because of there size, they were served without any traditional accompaniments like horseradish sauce, hot sauce, peppercorn vinegar sauce, not even a lemon. I had to ask for these things. The bread and butter was way disgusting with disappointing flavor that I could not even consider a third bite of. My server was so young she had no idea what should accompany this type of dish. The fried fish I ordered WAS NOT HOT when served PLATE WAS COLD. Fish appeared to have been sitting in the pick up window before we even sat at our table. Which leads me to beleilve there fish was fried way in advance because of the volume of customers. My overall assumption is lots of in experienced young servers, cooks, dishwasher, managers running a very profitable restaurant and those who know no better go there. Not I, kinda scary because of what I was served. Not thrilled about returning to this place ever again. But perhaps the best staff on board work the evening shift?

If you think this is great seafood then you don’t know good seafood and Atlanta doesn’t really have any great seafood restaurants because we don’t have fresh seafood.... because we’re not on the ocean. Everything I had was a disappointment. The fish is all previously frozen, none of it is fresh. This restaurant was average at best. Reminded me of cruise ship food, sounds great but then when you get it and start eating it, it’s not so great, just average. There’s definitely no chefs in the kitchen.

We loved this place when We lived in Marietta so we stopped by for a Sunday dinner. They have cut many options on the menu buy still had lots to choose from. I had the fried oysters and they were prepared perfectly. My wife ordered salmon but was served a dish with a crab cake and lump crabmeat. When we brought it up to our server he admired he had put down the wrong item but wanted my wife to say she ordered the wrong item so he would not get in trouble because he said he had done the same thing the night before. Needless to say we were disappointed about the issue but even more disappointed that the server wanted us to lie for him. Then to add insult to injury, it took way too long for her dish to come back to the table. This will be our last visit to the MFM! What happened???

Service, cleanliness, and decent prices abound. Very kind and hospitable staff but if you're system can't take deep fried food and/or everything drowning in butter then customer beware. I actually gave this restaurant two tries and both times I was pretty sick upon leaving.

Tonight we had another great time at the Market! Our server was Danny D. the one we think is a great server. This place is always top notch with management walking around, making sure everything is running well, I personally like to see that. The food is always great with a ending of a nice cake to take home with us because we are full from all the food they gave us. If you haven't had there cakes I recommend them especially the cheese cake!.

We are on our way to Atlanta America Mart home and gift show and decided to stop early for the evening. Since I was in the mood for Oysters took a look at Trip Advisor for my options, was not disappointed at all. Funky place and we happened to hit Monday night lobster night. Regular price 30 for 18 came with potato, corn, crab stuffed mushroom and soup. Service was friendly. If your in the area worth the trip.

It recently reopened but later starting hours. Seating was quick and social distanced. Service was okay. Order taking was quick. But there was a few things off. Appetizer, dozen oysters, came out after the main was served. Seems there was a late delivery of the oysters. No lemon slices. No plates for bread. No show stoppers. Nothing to prevent us to return. Because they recently reopened they haven't gotten their groove back. Plus, based on the Hiring sign, I am guessing a few new employees.

Went there after a church event on Saturday March 10th at 3pm with party of 15. We were seated in an area apparently under construction with plastic over the windows and it was chilly so when we told the waiter said this was the area for large groups and they put tape to shield the wind that was coming in. Number 1 reason to leave. In placing the order for 2 people we specifically asked about the quantity and the price, waiter offered a discounted price for a double order of wings that was not on the menu. When we received our check, it was double the price we expected and waiter said he did not tell me that price. I took the ticket to manager station and a lady said she was in charge so I started explaining the situation to her and she immediately became defensive saying the waiter does not lie assuming that I was lying about what he told me. After being put on the spot and having another party come and tell her the exact same thing she said it was a misunderstanding and she took the extra charge off. I did not complain about the overcooked burnt wings that we packed up to give to the dog. I will never return to that restaurant and will tell all my friends and family co workers in and around Marietta who may even consider going there about our experience. After looking back over the years the quality of the service and food has deteriorated

First timer and solo diner at this restaurant. I sat at the bar and waited 5 minutes before the bar tender asked me what I wanted to drink. I had a beer and 10 minutes went by before I was able to get his attention across the bar. He asked me if I wanted to order, I said I did and he asked what I wanted from across the bar. As I started to tell him he finally walked over to me and I completed my order. The food was plentiful but average. The loaf of bread was very good. The fried catfish filets were tasty but the baked potato did not taste fresh. The coleslaw was not creamy with very little taste. I liked the hush puppies. The butter was in minuscule plastic containers. It took several of them to put on the baked potato and I got disgusted having to peel and open each individual container for a small amount of butter. I will probably give it another chance but not anytime soon.

A great place to get fresh seafood. We eat here a couple times a year and the food and service is always great. Tonight we had Alyssa as our waitress and she did a great job taking care of us. I had the fried scallops and my wife had the jumbo fried shrimp, and they were jumbo and fried to perfection as was my scallops. Just the right amount of breading too. If you want good, fresh seafood, this is the place.

Had take out service, which included mussels and large fried shrimp platter. When was home and open bag there was no coleslaw, tarter sauce and no cocktail sauce. When spoke to Marissa the manager she said with a little attitude I can credit you the $1.95 for the cole slaw. Food ok service not so good.
