Large place-very tasty food!

We arrived around 6 PM on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. We shared a Large Fried Flounder platter, which entailed an up charge which we were told about as we ordered. Our meal was served promptly and accurately. We had fries with our order and we shared a house salad. Our complimentary bread was warm and tasty. Hush puppies are high on my “do not like” list, but these were enjoyable. The fries were better than I expected and the slaw was enjoyed. The platter included three pieces of flounder which were too hot for me to enjoy, but they were the correct temperature for my wife. Service was excellent!

Huge portions, most choices better than average, prices are average

Went for an early dinner to celebrate a birthday. Salads were fresh and large (Greek salad is my favorite choice) and the bread was warm and yummy. We each got meals that came with fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. These items were average or better. Our fried shrimp was some of the best I've ever had. My fried fish was mediocre and I don't think it was the fish that was on the menu. Serving sizes are so large that we ended up taking home enough food for a couple more meals. And the desserts, OMG, it's one of the main reasons to visit this place. Plan on taking one home. They are huge and always spectacular. The service we received was also excellent. Our server was professional, respectful and friendly, prompt and very attentive without being too much in our faces.

Superior Dining Experience

We were in the Atlanta area for a weekend getaway, and I had wanted to try this place since I'd heard good things about it, and especially once I heard the "Tanked" show had installed one of their famous aquariums in the dining room! They exceeded my expectations in every way. Some might consider it a bit pricey, but it's fresh seafood, so it's market prices. The food was absolutely delicious; my wife had the stuffed salmon, and I had the haddock and fried shrimp. The portions made it well worth the money! The service was impeccable. Our appetizer came out promptly, and the entrees came out just as we had finished the app. Our server, Robert, was friendly and attentive, and just made our experience that much better.

We used to live in Cobb County and always loved the Marietta Fish Market. Best seafood around. Yesterday Dec. 21, 2024 we went for a late lunch. Still the best shrimp around however, the $28.00 crab cake was missing the crab meat. Not like before. First we got ice tea that looked like muddy water. Terrible. We had it replaced. Salad was served after lunch. We drove about 45 miles each way to get there and meet family and, yesterday was not worth the trip.

OVERCHARGED, TERRIBLE FOOD AND POOR SERVICE

Went there after a church event on Saturday March 10th at 3pm with party of 15. We were seated in an area apparently under construction with plastic over the windows and it was chilly so when we told the waiter said this was the area for large groups and they put tape to shield the wind that was coming in. Number 1 reason to leave. In placing the order for 2 people we specifically asked about the quantity and the price, waiter offered a discounted price for a double order of wings that was not on the menu. When we received our check, it was double the price we expected and waiter said he did not tell me that price. I took the ticket to manager station and a lady said she was in charge so I started explaining the situation to her and she immediately became defensive saying the waiter does not lie assuming that I was lying about what he told me. After being put on the spot and having another party come and tell her the exact same thing she said it was a misunderstanding and she took the extra charge off. I did not complain about the overcooked burnt wings that we packed up to give to the dog. I will never return to that restaurant and will tell all my friends and family co workers in and around Marietta who may even consider going there about our experience. After looking back over the years the quality of the service and food has deteriorated

First timer and solo diner at this restaurant. I sat at the bar and waited 5 minutes before the bar tender asked me what I wanted to drink. I had a beer and 10 minutes went by before I was able to get his attention across the bar. He asked me if I wanted to order, I said I did and he asked what I wanted from across the bar. As I started to tell him he finally walked over to me and I completed my order. The food was plentiful but average. The loaf of bread was very good. The fried catfish filets were tasty but the baked potato did not taste fresh. The coleslaw was not creamy with very little taste. I liked the hush puppies. The butter was in minuscule plastic containers. It took several of them to put on the baked potato and I got disgusted having to peel and open each individual container for a small amount of butter. I will probably give it another chance but not anytime soon.

We love the Marietta Fish Market. The ambiance is so beautiful, and we love the large aquarium in the front of the restaurant. We have eaten at this restaurant a few times. The first visit we had a really great server and the food was delicious. The second time our server was ok and we were taken aback when she asked if we could give her our tip in cash. However, the food was still excellent and we enjoyed our meal. The highlights of the foods that we enjoy the most are the hush puppies and the bread that they serve at the beginning of the meal, both are the best we have ever had of these foods at any restaurant. We have not tried the desserts but they look amazing and hopefully one time we will have enough room left over to try them.

This was my second time dining at the Marietta Fish House. Today there was 4 of us. I started off with a large bowl of the fresh Crab Gumbo. My entree was Shrimp & Scallops in a Mardi Gras sauce over an amazing Crab Cake. Others had Fried Shrimp, Whole Catfish & Catfish Filet. Everything was absolutely delicious and prepared perfectly.... Our wonderful server was Lucas. He was very polite, professional & is a great asset to this restaurant. We will be back.

Went Saturday evening, the day before Mother's Day. Only a 45 minute wait. The six of us had a wonderful time. Our waiter was awesome. They didn't have watermelon for watermelon margaritas, so I ordered the Peach, it was delicious. All food was tasty. I loved the broiled seafood platter. Everyone ordered something different, and were satisfied as well with their choices. Elsewhere- We must have been seated near a speaker, the music was a bit loud. Restroom was in need of attention, out of toilet seat covers, big rolls of paper towels on the wet counter. Two employees were in there, they washed their hands well after using the restroom, which was nice to see. The dessert case is a must, HUGE portions of the most delicious desserts! I had the key lime cheesecake.

I would rate this place higher but I need a larger sample size (from the menu). Went there for lunch and kept it simple (fish and chips). Good portion size and food was made exactly as I ordered it. The waitress (bartender, as I sat at the bar) was attentive and helpful. Place was clean and spacious (very well maintained). Prices are a bit high but (may be worth it depending on what you order).

Delicious seafood!

We recently visited for dinner. It was beautiful inside, where we sat. Service was a little slow but the manager was very cordial and visited our table. We had the shrimp cocktail which was fresh and fabulous, greek salads and bouillabaisse that was amazing and so fresh, and the citrus glazed salmon and jumbo shrimp. The food was very good and we will definitely return.

Took my adult daughter out for lunch because we were in the area. Waiter took forever to even take our drink order. The salads were very bland. Waiter didn’t clear our salad and bread plates until I started stacking them up out of our way. The salmon cakes were edible but barely. My veggies were cold, hers were inedible. The rice pilaf was bland. Waiter barely checked on us. When he asked how everything was, he wasn’t even concerned that I said it was just ok. Menu says salads are $1.95 extra with lunch entrees, he tried to charge me $2.95 each salad. Was not impressed.

A great place to get fresh seafood

A great place to get fresh seafood. We eat here a couple times a year and the food and service is always great. Tonight we had Alyssa as our waitress and she did a great job taking care of us. I had the fried scallops and my wife had the jumbo fried shrimp, and they were jumbo and fried to perfection as was my scallops. Just the right amount of breading too. If you want good, fresh seafood, this is the place.

Not So Friendly Service

Had take out service, which included mussels and large fried shrimp platter. When was home and open bag there was no coleslaw, tarter sauce and no cocktail sauce. When spoke to Marissa the manager she said with a little attitude I can credit you the $1.95 for the cole slaw. Food ok service not so good.

We stopped in for dinner while we were in town and we were definitely impressed! It felt like many of the restaurants I've visited on the coast, not something you'd expect to find while just south of Atlanta. We ordered an appetizer of shrimp in a lemon butter sauce and hush puppies to split. The seasoning was perfect; though I'll admit that the shrimp was overdone. For dinner, we both had to get the Cajun seafood pasta. Again, the shrimp was very overdone, which is why it gets a 4 star review. I'd expect it to be perfectly done from a place that serves only seafood. However, the star of the show absolutely surprised me. You have to try the gumbo!!! The best gumbos I've had were made with love by people who have had years of practice to master it. This one, made in a restaurant nowhere near Louisiana, has really impressed me. Our server told us that it's made in house every day and I believe it! If we ever find our way back to Marietta, I'm stopping in for another bowl!
