I'm a BBQ snob so I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I got the 3 meat platter with mac and cheese and Brunswick stew. The stew was on the sweet side and tasted strongly of BBQ sauce but I liked it. The mac and...cheese had great flavor. The pulled pork was good as was the chicken. The ribs were a tad fatty but pretty solid anyway. The selection of BBQ sauces was enormous and each one was pretty good. I really enjoyed the Alabama white and the smokey sauce. I'd go back.More

I had gotten a flyer in the mail and since I was in the mood I decided to give it a try. Ordering at counter was quick and efficient. Time to receive the food was not long. It was a "to go" order. 2 smoked...pulled pork sandwiches. 1 Brunswick stew So far as the sauces there was a separate spot where you make your selection into a small cup. Lids available. Wide variety of sauces. I should note the sandwich is on Texas sized toast. Not a bun. I will stop in again!More

We went to Smitty's for the 2nd time today. I had a half rack of tender meaty ribs that we're delicious as we're the potato salad and collards. My wife enjoyed the turkey and we appreciated getting toast that was not overpowered with garlic. They...have a large selection of different BBQ sauce and it is easy to find a good sauce. Friendly and quick service. Only drawback is the traffic and lack of an arrow for southbound traffic trying to turn left at the light. We will be back for more.More

I ordered food to go at the counter. Cute decor, bbq sauce bar with multiple choices. Took a little longer than I expected to get food. Live wiithin 2 miles, when we sat down to eat, the beans were very hot, bbq was luke warm...and corn on the cobb was cold. It all tasted very good tho after I warmed it up.More

We have now been to this restaurant 3 times and each time is has been consistently amazing! and YES we drove all the way from Newnan, Georgia to Marietta just to eat this mouthwatering BBQ. I can't tell you enough just how great this food...is, and the desserts, OMG!!! please just do yourself and your mouth along with your belly a favor and go eat at this place. While enjoying Panama City Beach, we went looking for the best local eating establishments. Lots of cars in front means good food inside. Massive salad bar was excellent. We shared a full slab of baby back ribs that were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The...decor was a tribute to our Air Force and Naval Aviators! My wife and I tried Smitty's Lockdown for the first time this week and were impressed with the quality of the ribs, the baked beans, the broccoli, and the bread side. The atmosphere was a little quirky with the whole jail kind of theme going...on. But it was a great place to grab some reasonably priced local BBQ. The tea is also very sweet.
