When I’ve needed an eggplant parmigiana fix, takeout from Mezza Luna has been my go-to for a while, and it’s always hit the spot. Recently though we’ve actually stopped and started dining in and really experiencing this family run restaurant and what a treat! First off, they offer much more than my beloved eggplant parm... who’da thunk? My daughter adores the bolognese and some of the nightly specials have been crazy delicious. Just recently they put in a pizza oven and they are working on perfecting pizza their dough and recipes, so the word is that very soon, pizza and calzone will be on the menu! I was was lucky tonight as they had dough made, so I was able to have the most delicious ricotta, pesto, garlic, & spinach pizza. I can’t wait until they offer pizza and calzones as part of their menu. Then another thing I found out by actually going in and sitting down was the desserts. OMG!!! I’m not a huge sweets person, and I don’t know what prompted me originally to order the cheesecake, but let me tell you, it is the BOMB!!! It is seriously the best, creamiest, richest, New York style cheesecake I have had in years! Sometimes I stop in and sit at the bar just to chat and have a slice of cheesecake! The cheesecake, just like all the other desserts are made fresh in-house. I’m super tempted to try some of the other desserts but I’m telling you, the cheesecake is sooooo wonderful I want it all the time. Speaking of wonderful, and homemade, the limoncello and orangecello are beyond amazing and a must try. I enjoy family run places and tonight it was quiet in the restaurant. It was nice meeting and chatting with the owner, who makes the cheesecake, and the son who makes the limoncello & orangecello, and come to find out, the chef who made my delicious pizza was born and lived right near me up in Massachusetts and his brother sat near me and he also enjoyed a pizza tonight. Nice people, good conversation, great food, & drinks. Check out Mezza Luna!

Went here because in the south its tough to find good Italian. I was lucky because the owner is Italian (Italy) and very friendly. We discussed Italy, food, the south, etc. I got the mussels which were tremendous and he recommended duck ragu with paccheri. It was very good. I strongly recommend it here.

WOW - this gem is terrific! The food was authentic and the service was gold star. I had the Chicken Parm and hubby had Fettuccine with Pomodoro meat sauce and he ordered an extra meat ball. We had hot bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to enjoy while our meal was being prepared. We got a chance to chat with the chef. He explained that they make almost everything they serve. We will definitely be eating here again before we return home.

It started with a pathetic beer selection on draft, which was an entirely bland selection of Bud light, Miller light, Stella and Peroni. No amber or dark beers on draft or in bottle. Asked for Ceaser salad with "light dressing" to avoid a soaked salad, what we got was a small plate of cut up lettuce and a few boxed croutons, bottled dressing on the side, zero dressing on the salad. Ordered Linguini with clam sauce, the plat had about 30 tiny clams on it, half 100% closed, couldn't eat them, never seen such a thing. I asked for pepper on the linguini, the waitress gave me a small glass pepper shaker instead of the wooden pepper grinder right next to the shaker. I asked for the grinder, she tried to grind some on the plate, but got half the pepper on the tablecloth and pursued to wipe the pepper off the table cloth with her hands, pushing it all onto my lap. WTF? There was a singer in the lobby with a speaker outside, it was the saddest drabiest situation we've ever heard, almost had to leave but was too hungry. The music was seriously bad. Marietta really needs some good Italian restaurants, unfortunately this is not it after two tries.

The wait staff ( Miranda) was excellent..the food not bad but not the greatest. Although my chicken parm was at an quasi acceptable temp my wife's eggplant parm was not. They took hers back and it was about 10 minutes by the time they brought hers back. For some reason I have never been to a restuarant that suggests taking back the other customer's dish so that the customers can eat together. This would have been an opportune time. We were not crazy about the breading nor the Northern Italian type of sauce..a tad on the sweet side

This Italian restaurant is terrible. AVOID under all circumstances. Ordered a Greek salad that tasted and looked nothing like a traditional Greek salad that they advertise. My glass of Catena wine tasted bad like it had been open for weeks. I ordered the “special” seafood risotto pesto. Worst dish ever! It came with three pieces of shrimp and two pieces of scallops. Here’s the best part they charged $50 for the plate!!! Do not make the same mistake I made and avoid this terrible restaurant!!

My son and I went out for pasta one night when it was just late and we were too tired to cook. Pleasantly surprised to have a delicious meal and good service. The room was very loud, which we don’t love, but it seems to be the trend lately with the high ceilings and lack of any sound absorption. For food, he had fettuccine Alfredo and said it was very good. He really liked his. I had chicken piccata and it was delicious. Very happy with our meals. It was definitely date night prices, we just happen to order the least expensive things on the menu because that’s what we wanted. So not necessarily a place I would consider with young people that are not going to appreciate it. But the food was very good. Would be happy to go back for a nice evening out. Looking forward to their patio area being open in the summer when it’s warm and we can sit outside where it’s quieter.

Ordered special dish, which was not served as described, supposed to be a pasta dish with lobster & shrimp, however it had octopus, which I do not like in it. After complaining to staff, was given another dish, hastily put together. Was not very good and was charged $30 for it. Don't know what happened here but not good at all and food was not very good. Would NOT recommend.

Was in the Marietta area for baseball tournament for my son, wanted to find an amazing Italian place for dinner. I researched so many places, but ended up picking Mezza Luna based on so many good reviews. I definitely picked the right place! Dinner was with my husband and three teens, and the food was soo good. Atmosphere not the best, small, at the end of strip mall. Was very clean, quiet, made reservation online on restaurant's website. Bread and balsamic/olive oil was very good. Got greek salad with homemade dressing which was really good, enough for husband and I to share. I got the gnocchi, which was to come with a tomato type sauce, but asked if they had pesto, which they did. It was very good. Kids got the homemade fettuccini alfredo which was a big hit. I tried it was well, pasta cooked perfectly, sauce was definitely homemade. Took the tiramisu to go, along with chocolate mousse cake. The tiramisu was the star by far. Cocktails were well made, service was spot on. Our server was so sweet, attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely return.

When your family needs a little Italian restaurant but has a big appetito italiano. When the 7 of us arrived we were quickly welcomed and instantly treated as if we were regulars. The confidence shown by Alejandro when describing the specials was proven with every bite we took. Don't deny yourself of the Lobster bisque. Our table had Veal Marsala, Lobster Ravioli special, the Halibut special, the Tortellini Alla Romagnola, and Fettuccine Alla Panna. Every person's dish was shared and we all agreed how difficult it will be to have to choose just one when we come back. Fresh homemade pasta. Fresh focaccia bread. If you leave without trying the Tiramisu you will have denied every one of your tastebuds the opportunity to experience genuino Tiramisu. The most amazing testimony of our experience was the staff. Alejandro makes the menu come alive, Mackenzie proved how a place gets one time patrons to be loyal guests (She found an issue with our bill and instead of pocketing our momentary mistake she gained our trust and devoted patronage) And let's not forget get our talented chef, magnifico. Hope to see you there.

First, be aware that if you use a credit card, restaurant will add 3% to your bill. NEVER had that happen before. Service: our waitperson was very nice. She was one of 4 in a very small restaurant. Despite this more than adequate number, we had to call over the bartender for our drinks. We were encouraged by a very fresh Greek salad and good warm bread. Then came the main courses: veal parm for my husband and eggplant parm for me. Tasted precooked and warmed up in a microwave. In other words, TV dinners. Go elsewhere for good Italian food.

First time but not the last for us. The service was great, wine was wonderful and the food tasty! Cream of zucchini soup, fresh bread and Salmon were the winners of the day. Delicious cheesecake helped us finish off a perfect lunch.

We had a very average meal with nothing to write home about. However, when we got the bill, there was a "Processing fee" that amounted to about 3% of the bill. Is this the wave of the future? Quit nickel diming us! Don't make the mistake of ordering a special meal without first asking the price. The wait staff does not automatically tell you the price. Surprise, surprise.

We had a party of 9. The place is small but the food is excellent. The menu is diverse with good size portions. The focaccia is warm with crisp crust and soft center. They are very willing to bring more so you can soak up the wonderful sauces. The mussels appetizer is so large that it could be a meal. The cannolis are small but great.

We had a large party for a work outing book last-second at Mezza Luna. They had no issues accommodating us, and the service all night was amazing (Kim did a magnificent job). My wife is Italian, so I’m always hesitant to eat at Italian restaurants because the food at home is so good. This was well-worth the trip and everything from the appetizers to dessert was incredible. Thanks so much!
