A great place for lunch. Great menu. I had the monte cristo served with jam and fresh fruit. Can't believe i ate the whole thing. A huge portion. Very reasonable prices. Mist go to when in the Madison Lake Oconee area.

When we visit the James Madison Inn we plan a nice long slow dinner one evening at Town 220. Not to formal, but well planned menu executed well. We have returned each stay for several visits now.

Met an old friend - well, a friend of long standing - for lunch at Town 220. We were seated right near the fire pit, which was lovely! Our server was Stephen, and he was pleasant, patient with the one who could not decide, and efficient without being too ever-present. The food was delicious! Two of us had soups and... More

I recently attended a the Obrigado wine dinner at Town 220 which featured the wines and food of Portugal. Francisco de la Torre and his wife Arghlia had visited Spain and Portugal and wanted to share the food and wine experience. The six course dinner made for interesting pairings of food and wine, allowing guests to experience a wide variety... More

Great friends celebrating birthdays decided to return to a favorite location. The service and food are always wonderful. Our table had lamb chops, crab cakes, fish and steak. All meals were prepared perfectly and served hot and timely. This place had a great bar, the drinks are of ample size and made to order. Please drop in when you are... More

Madison, Georgia, is a tourist town. One of the prime destinations on the historic Antebellum Trail from Athens to Macon, Madison boasts many opulent mansions dating to the Civil War era. It's a popular mid-day stop so there are several quality restaurants and candy stores and bed-and-breakfast inns and shops to attract visitors. Perhaps the best restaurant of all is... More

We ate at the Town 220 on our second night in Madison. The pork chop dish was a little over cooked and the duck was on the dry side. We had eaten at Ricardo's the night before and the food was much better. Town 220 does have a very nice patio to eat on. It is a hair more up... More

Made an overnight stop in Madison and went into town for a 'nice meal'. Reviews suggested Town 220 would be good. We were more than pleased with our choice. Lovely courtyard style setting. Our server Maggie was very attentive and friendly. An interesting menu and the food itself was superb. Great choice of reasonably priced wines. We've spent far more... More

We came here for a luncheon celebration. The staff was fantastic, the food and drinks were all very good. We loved the setting and enjoyed the outside patio as well. Will definitely be back!

We had great Bloody Marys & Mimosases here before our meal. Our group had Cobb Salads, Wraps & Croque Monsieurs for lunch and all were wondrful. The restaurant ceilling is two story with old brick, columns & a long bar. There are windows along the kitchen so you can see whats going on. The service was professional & friendly.
