We overnighted in Locust Grove on our way to Florida. (We like to get through Atlanta so we're starting from the south end.) We chose San Diego partly because of the name and partly because it was a further walk from the Hampton Inn than...Gabino's. (We wanted to stretch our legs after a day of sitting in the car. The atmosphere was fun, several families who were eating were speaking Spanish ( a good sign, in my mind.) My wife and I both had the Chicken Enchilada plate with a 24 ox Dos Equis Amber to wash it down. The chicken was cooked perfectly, still moist and tasty and the accompanying bowl of sour cream, vegetables, guacamole, etc was very tasty. I put a little of the salsa that was served with the (excellent) corn chips on my enchiladas and was very pleased. When we come back through through again, we might try Gabino's just to compare, but this place will be one of our favorites!More

Steer clear of this place, they have gotten worse instead of better. Food not so tasty at lunchtime, no menus to order from, no salt/pepper, no utensils, no napkins (GEEZ!) and when I asked they shook their head. Then when paying, given incorrect change and...they did not want to correct, walked away. Hope they make it!! So sad! Totally disappointed with this restaurant, not the first time I have had problems. The owner just wants to make $$$$$. They also raised their menu prices.More

I haven't been here in awhile and seeing as I know the owner thought I would stop in. Ordered the steak fajita for one. And as usual it came out piping hot. This order was almost enough for two people. Steak was cooked just right,veggies...sauteed and not burnt. Will be going back.More

This restaurant is a winner! They accommodated us at last minute for a group of 50+ on a Friday night after we were rudely turned away by Gambino's. They went out of their way to seat us, were so hospitable and polite, they service team...lead by Lauren were amazing! To top everything off, the food was excellent. They truly know what excellent customer service is supposed to be! Thank you San Diego's!More

Walk in, greeter girl too busy doing nothing & talking to male waiter. I told her I wanted to place a take-out order, she said go to the bar. I asked for a menu, she said they have them. I get to the bar, said...girl was suppose to give me a menu(???), placed order and this girl didn't know what I was ordering, had to ask. Finally, she found the item (I wanted a Tostaguac), said it was $8.99. I said WHAT? Another girl said that's for 2, I only wanted one, she said it was $4.99. I said OK. Got home it was a Chalupa, not a Tostaguac. I was overcharged by 50 cents and then they added a courtesy tip that I did not agree too. Now another trip to get a refund, that is just not right. Beware if you eat here to check prices & your bill!!!More

Simple place mostly families visiting. We had very good service. Food was excellent - seafood burrito - and prices very reasonable. Will be back.

The food was great. The service was great. Margaritas outstanding! It is tucked behind IHOP next to Murphy USA gas station. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience. Vanessa was fantastic!

We just had a wonderful meal here while on a road trip and needing to spend some time before tackling the traffic in Atlanta. We were greeted at the door with a smile and seated right away. Our server, Ashwin, couldn’t have been better! She...was friendly, pleasant, and answered many questions about the menu. Our food arrived promptly and was oh, soooo good! I had the Mexican chicken soup with avocados and a shredded chicken tostada. My husband had the special, grilled tilapia with a huge portion of fresh mixed veggies and Mexican refried beans. Best Mexican food and service we’ve had in a long time. I wish we lived closed. Thanks, Ashwin!!More

This place is hidden in the WalMart shopping center by the Dollar Tree. I have eaten here several times. The food has always been good, service is good, but sometimes have to remind thema few times what you are in need of or want. Prices...are average.More

My friend and I decided to give San Diego Mexican Restaurant a second try since the food was bad on our first visit. I have never tasted such bland food in all my life! Prices are a bit high for such mediocre Mexican food. Service...was average. This place won’t get a third try from me.More
