Thanks to the number of rave reviews, we were pleased to find the French Market and Tavern as we were heading home through Georgia. Not wanting fast food, we looked to Trip Advisor for suggestions. Situated in a charming Shop with bakery and wine bar, the restaurant is not fancy but had a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. The food was... More

This place is special and cute and just the perfect spot to make you feel all good inside! We went there for a girls lunch while shopping in the city. We adored the food and the shop! I will definitely be coming back and bring my husband.

My mom had been wanting to eat lunch here with her three girls. We had sandwiches...most had the chicken salad and I had the fried green tomato and bacon. We opted for the soup of the day (white bean and tomato) for our side. They charged us an additional $2 per person for the cup of soup. I had recently... More

Poole Boys, Gumbo, Sandwiches, Burgers, Salads and more are offered with quaint local flair. Try the fried green tomatoes for a treat. Rustic small town setting with great service. Complete with a gift shop for the holidays. Worth a drive South of Atlanta

I've been to this place a few times. It's a beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere is the best thing I like about it. The service is also great. Most of the food I have had there has been good, except the gumbo. I'd like to order gumbo everywhere I go. I haven't ordered the French market gumbo in several years because... More

Beautiful interior decor with a cute little store with lots of neat gifts. Food is southern style with a New Orleans twist. My favs are the fried green tomatoes and the grits!

The food is always good. I had the Ruben my friend have the chicken salad. I had the jalapeño collards and jalapeño coleslaw both were good. I had the vanilla caramel cake for dessert seemed small. Service is slow but friendly. Parking is across the street. They have a gift shop in the restaurant. Will definitely go back.

This is a place that you can shop, chat, eat and have fun. The environment is perfect. The shrimp dish is my favorite.

Fantastic food and the desserts are amazing! I got the red velvet cake with a shot of espresso to pour over the top of it. Rather addictive I must say!
