Due to a friend's recommendation, my husband and I visited The French Market for lunch. Walking in the the retail shop, we immediately loved the atmosphere created by the charming, rustic home goods displayed. Once seated in the bistro we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our food, a burger and a shrimp and oyster po boy, was delicious.... More

We went for early dinner. I ordered a salad with fried shrimp add on for $5.00. It was generous and the garlic dressing was delicious however they served only three shrimp and a few cherry tomatoes on the side. No bread but an enormous amount of no so good croutons. The atmosphere was great however for what you get that... More

Mine and my husband's experience unfortunately was not the experience a lot of reviewers here had at the restaurant. The food was just meh, overrated and over priced. My husband's catfish roulade was good. The buttermilk chicken however was dry, chewy and flavorless. The Cajun French fries were soggy and bland. The fried tomatoes were flavorless and too oily. The... More

My hubby and I stopped into Locust Grove on our trip from Atlanta. Such a delightful restaurant and shop. The food was amazing- coupled with impeccable service. The Monte Cristo sandwich was great! We also had fried green tomatoes and the oyster po boy. The portions were huge and beautifully plated. We loved the whole ambiance. Such a sweet gem... More

We live in Locust Grove so this is a hometown favorite for us. We've tried most of their menu items and we've never been disappointed. Their salads were particularly good and their chicken dishes are favorites.

A nice lunch stop after a day of shopping at the outlet mall. * Service - friendly but slow * Drinks - Iced tea & coffee: Good * Appetizer: Spinach dip with buttered grilled bread slices. $11 I was disappointed in this dip. The spinach was so tiny it tasted more like an Italian cheese dip (the cheese wasn't fully... More

We had a variety of items for lunch but all were remarkable. I had the shrimp poboy with an absolutely delicious sauce. My father raved about the shrimp and grits and my mother thought the chicken soup with dumplings was outstanding. We all loved the fried green tomato appetizer. Our server was charming and attentive. We plan to return as... More

HATED black eyed peas until I tasted the BEP at The French Market. I've never heard of Andouille Sausage Dressing UNTIL I tasted it from The French Market. This Locust Grove "hidden gem" rivals ANY "Downtown Atlanta" restaurant.....
